Kingdom of Byrune Chapter 8 Quest Guide

MementoMori's main quests are split into chapters, and in each chapter, there are some especially difficult boss fights. Read this walkthrough to find out which teams you can use to clear Chapter 8, what enemies you'll face, and strategies for defeating them.

Best Team to Clear Chapter 8

If you have this team or one similar to it, you should be able to clear the entire chapter without issues.

By this time, the enemies will get much tougher and will start outpacing your characters in terms of levels. That's why you'll have to focus on dealing as much damage as possible in the shortest amount of time.

This party features Florence, who you need to give her PM. DEF Break and SPD runes to deal as much damage as she can. Invest in upgrading her weapon, as well as augment her Chest armor with Dark Armor and potions to further increase her DEF Break stat. Merlyn, Olivia, and Mertillier will give her the buffs she needs, while Soltina deals debuffs and tanks hits.

Later when you face A.A., the chapter boss, you can switch either Olivia or Soltina out with someone who can inflict Faint on her like Illya.

Amleth

Cordie is another excellent option for an attacker if you don't have Florence, especially since you can get her for free through the Cave of Space-Time (her fragments can be bought with the currency you earn from there).

Amleth is also a good choice in that she deals more damage the less HP she has (and she can revive herself once, leaving her invincible with 1 HP remaining - giving her a huge damage boost).

Support

Primavera

Amour

Primavera is a good all-around support character who can inflict Faint debuffs while giving the entire party both ATK and SPD buffs. Amour meanwhile can inflict Blight on your enemies, preventing them from getting healed. She can also act as a secondary tank character who can revive herself once after getting fatally damaged.

Tips and Strategies

Use Blight to Render Freesia's Healing Useless

Freesia is one of the strongest healers in the game and she'll use her skills to keep her party standing. Bring Amour along so she can inflict Blight on them and quickly make Freesia's healing useless.

Finish the Fight Quickly

Don't linger too much in the fight by making sure your main attacker is properly equipped with runes and upgrades. Arianrhod deals a lot of damage with her Hammer of Justice skill, and she can easily wipe your party after a few turns if you're not careful.

Tips and Strategies

Bring Illya Along

Yes, bring Illya along because her first skill, Strike of Conviction, can inflict Faint on A.A. for 2 turns - giving your main attacker enough time to take her out before she can unleash her own deadly skills on your party.

Any other character whose first skill inflicts Faint will do, but Illya's usable even at Level 1. So save your resources (especially those Kindling Orbs) and give them all to your main attacker instead.
