MementoMori's main quests are split into chapters, and in each chapter, there are some especially difficult boss fights. Read this walkthrough to find out which teams you can use to clear Chapter 23, what enemies you'll face, and strategies for defeating them.

Best Team to Clear Chapter 23

If you have this team or one similar to it, you should be able to clear the entire chapter without issues.

Similar to the team you used to clear Chapter 22, Chapter 23 can be cleared with one main attacker (who will likely be Cordie or Florence), plus four supporting units. So, a classic combination of Mimi, Primavera, Lunalynn, and Merlyn should be more than enough to get past this chapter, even past the final boss, Armstrong.

The general strategy here is to make sure that Cordie survives the first two turns so she can use both her active skills and hope the enemy team is defeated by then. If she fails to defeat them by then, the chances of you winning the battle drop significantly.

Fia and Sivi continue to be useful alternatives as attackers at this stage because of their ramping damage, especially Fia - who can turn the damage dealt by her enemies against them.

Florence

For stages where you will encounter tough PvE versions of witches like Soltina and Amleth, Nina and Florence remain useful supports (assuming you are using Cordie as your main attacker). Nina can steal Amleth's buffs, and Florence can help shatter Soltina's multi-barrier. Nina can also be useful at the last boss battle of this chapter (more on that later).

Tips and Strategies

Take Down Luke and Rean ASAP

In this stage, Rean and Luke are the main damage dealers, so you will have to hope that Cordie takes them out within the first turn. RNG could be tough, however, so it may take more than a few retries to clear this stage.

Tips and Strategies

Use Primavera to Stun Florence, Nina to Debuff Amleth

As you can see, we switched out Mimi for Nina in this stage while positioning Primavera in front of the enemy Florence. Ideally, once your Cordie attacks, she should be able to take Florence and most of the other witches down within the first turn, with only Amleth remaining.

If she fails to, however, Primavera can buy your team precious time, while Nina steals the buff that keeps Amleth alive (and takes her out at the same time).

Soltina Stage

What's the Main Quest without a stage featuring Soltina? Just like in other stages, she will be a headache to deal with here as well, as her multi-barriers can hard counter Cordie's otherwise devastating attacks. But Cordie can destroy her multi-barriers in one turn and defeat her the next. It's just that it's all up to RNG, so be prepared to keep retrying this stage.

Tips and Strategies

Stun Ivy, Position Expendable Units in Front of Amour

For this stage, avoid putting your main attacker on the top spot of your team, since Amour will deal damage to whoever's directly in front of her when she is defeated. Only place witches you think are expendable/will be able to use their skills before they are defeated (like Lunalynn). Primavera can be used to stun Ivy or Rean, but you'll have to hope that Cordie's RNG takes out the other one before they do any sort of attack.

Tips and Strategies

Take down A.A., Lunalynn, and Ophelia as Soon as Possible

Armstrong may be dangerous, but her fellow Chaos witches are just as deadly in this mission if left alive past the first turn. Have Primavera stun Armstrong, followed by Cordie's attack - which should take out Ophelia, Valeriede, and A.A. in one turn. In case Ophelia survives, Nina can still steal her buff, while your Lunalynn silences everyone else.

If A.A. or Armstrong manage to get an attack out, it's certainly over for your team, so keep your main attacker as far away from Armstrong as possible to prevent them from getting targeted.

Expect to retry this mission a good number of times because of the RNG involved in taking out the first three witches we mentioned earlier.
