MementoMori's main quests are split into chapters, and in each chapter, there are some especially difficult boss fights. Read this walkthrough to find out which teams you can use to clear Chapter 21, what enemies you'll face, and strategies for defeating them.

Kingdom of Galia Chapter 21 Guide

Best Team to Clear Chapter 21

If you have this team or one similar to it, you should be able to clear the entire chapter without issues.

Minimum Recommended BP: 59 - 76 million

Most of the enemies you will be facing in Chapter 21 are heavy damage dealers that can kill your main attackers in one or two turns. Your strategy should be focused on creating a team with members that can soak up all that damage and keep it away from your main attackers - the units who actually matter in your team.

Also, make sure that at least one of your main attackers is fully stocked with at least 3 level 11 or 12 PM. DEF Break runes, as well as the best gear you can afford (especially their Unique Weapon).

You should be able to clear this stage even with just one main attacker, but if you have the resources, you can use two attackers instead (though the second attacker does not need to have the same quality of runes as your main carry).

Attackers

MementoMori - Sivi IconSivi MementoMori - Fia IconFia

At this point in the game, you should already be getting limited SR characters that you can eventually use in modes outside the Main Quest, such as PvP.

Units like Sivi and Fia are highly recommended because both deal higher damage the more damage they take from enemies, on top of having self-healing abilities that keep them in the fight longer.

With many enemies in this chapter capable of dealing high amounts of damage, they should be able to thrive in battle and deal reasonable amounts of damage.

Support

MementoMori - Mimi IconMimi MementoMori - Primavera IconPrimavera

Mimi and Primavera will always be useful in PvE because the former's Resonance ability helps you extend the damage your team deals to the enemy team (Resonance deals 50% of the damage you dealt to the enemy with the lowest DEF to the enemy with the highest DEF).

Meanwhile, Primavera can inflict Faint on anyone in front of her, and you'll need Faint if you want to stop certain enemies like Sonya from killing your main attacker within the first turn (since Primavera would be able to stun her beforehand).

Tips and Strategies

Start Using the Level Link Feature

If you've been cruising through the game while having your main attacker at Level 240, then Quest 21-7 will probably be the point where you will have to use the Party Level Link feature. Get your top five witches to Level 240 and unlock the level link to have all your witches at the same level.

Once you've reached Level 260, you can focus on your main attacker's gear. Level 11 PM. DEF Break runes, Dark augmented Chest armor, Holy augmented Gauntlets, and perhaps Holy augmented accessories if you are using Cordie (for the ACC boost).

Premium Gifts

If you want to save time farming for Dark Perfume or Holy Fragments, you can get the Secret Perfume Pack, Holy Fragment Pack, or Archangel Pack.

Tips and Strategies

Use Tanks To Soak Up Damage

There are two witches to worry about in this stage: Ivy and Soteira, though Ivy is the more lethal of the two. Putting tanks in your party like Soltina and Amleth (or Ophelia if you have her) can help in keeping the damage from Ivy and Soteira away from your main attacker and give her time to take them all out.

Alternatively, you can try using Dian or even Hathor to boost your main attacker's Evasion and blunt the enemy's damage. However, in our experience, we found using tanks and some patience with playing the battle over and over again was more effective.

Tips and Strategies

User Primavera to Faint Soteira

Mimi and Soteira are some of the biggest threats in this stage, along with Tropon. Your main attacker will probably take her out within the first turn, but in case she doesn't, Primavera can give your team one more turn by Fainting Soteira instead.

Have Nina Steal Buffs From Mertillier

In case your attacker doesn't take out Mertillier within the first turn, she will boost either Nina or Tropon's attack with her Maintenance skill - which will be bad news for your entire party. To increase your chance of winning, have Nina in your party to dispel the buff at the soonest possible turn.

A witch that can dispel buffs is also recommended as an alternative. Merlyn can do this too, though it's better to have a backup just in case she gets taken out.

Tips and Strategies

Make Sure Sonya Gets Stunned

Just like in other stages, Sonya is among the most dangerous witches you will encounter in this stage because of her ability to deal critical hits to the character with the highest HP (who is probably your main attacker). So make sure she gets stunned by either Primavera or Soltina.

If you really want to make sure however (and you have the resources), you can use a secondary DPS like how we did with Florence. Only do this if you have the resources to invest in two main attackers at the same time.

Use Florence to Help With Breaking Soltina's Barriers

As we just mentioned, we included Florence in this team as a secondary attacker, but we also have her here to help with breaking Soltina's Multi-Barrier. Usually, even if you take out Sonya and everyone else, Soltina still manages to kill Cordie because the latter's low hit count prevents her from cracking Soltina's protection.

Tips and Strategies

Use Soltina and Amleth to Soak Up Damage

Rean and Cordie are your only worries in this potentially easy-to-clear stage, and all you need is for other witches to take the damage they deal while your main attackers do their thing. Amleth and Soltina or units with similar abilities as them are perfect for this role.
