Soul Affinity Compatibility

What is Soul Affinity?

Soul Affinity Enemy.png
Soul Affinity is the character’s type or element that determines their strength and weakness against another character. It’s similar to the rules of rock paper scissors. Knowing the soul affinity of your character and enemies gives you an advantage in battles.

MementoMori employs six soul affinities: Azure, Crimson, Emerald, Amber, Radiance, and Chaos. The Souls have strengths and weaknesses against each other, and their pattern is shown below:

If a character attacks using an effective Soul affinity, it adds 25% more damage.

Soul Affinity Activated Bonus

Putting characters with the same Soul Affinity in the same party gives an Affinity Bonus to the team, giving a decent advantage in battle.

Below is the requirement for Soul Bonuses and the specified effect:

Soul Affinity in a Party HP ATK
Azure.png 3 with the same Soul 10% 10%
Crimson.pngRadiance.png 3 + 2 with the same Soul 15% 15%
Amber.png 4 with the same Soul 20% 15%
Emerald.png5 with the same Soul 25% 25%

Radiance Souls are counted as wild cards. They can be counted as soul bonuses for the colored souls. For example, the team has 3 Azure Souls, 1 Crimson, and 1 Radiance Soul. The soul bonus will be the same as having 4 with the same soul affinity.

Please note that Chaos Souls do not count towards Soul Bonuses. Instead, it has a different requirement and specified effect:

Chaos Soul Affinity in a Party
Number of Chaos Soul in a Party Soul Bonus Effect Boost Percentage
Chaos.png 1 or more DEF 25%
Chaos.png2 or more HP Drain 5%
Chaos.png3 or more DEF Break 1000
Chaos.png4 or more Counter 10%
Chaos.png5 CRIT DMG Boost 30%
