Log in Bonus - MementoMori

Simply logging in to MementoMori will net you rewards from the game's log-in bonuses. Like Missions, the bonuses you'll get range from Experience Orbs, Kindling Orbs, Fragments (used to pull characters), and Boss Tickets that will allow you to re-challenge stages you've already beaten in the Main Quest more than the 3 times you’re given for free each day.

The game also keeps track of how many days you logged in during the month, which unlocks a series of chests containing Diamonds and Growth Sets (items that provide a fixed amount of Gold, EXP Orbs, and Kindling Orbs). The more days you log in, the more chests you unlock.

Claim Your Main Quest Rewards

Main Quest Rewards - MementoMori

Once you log in, the first thing you should do is check the Quest Tab and claim your Main Quest rewards. These rewards include Experience Orbs, Kindling Orbs, Gold, and a bunch of equipment you can equip on your Witches. Claiming your main quest rewards should make you climb up a few player ranks as well.

Always make sure to claim your main request rewards at least once every day as the AFK bonuses max out at 24 hours. This way, you're not missing out on EXP and other important items - especially Kindling Orbs.”

Do Missions and Claim Your Rewards

Mission Rewards - MementoMori

Missions in MementoMori are divided into three types: Daily, Weekly, and Main. Completing the Daily and Weekly Missions gives you Contribution Medals, which unlock a series of chests that contain useful items ranging from Diamonds, Gold, and Tickets of the Cursed you can use to pull witches from the Prayer of the Cursed invocation banner.

Daily Missions reset every day, while Weekly Missions reset every Monday. If you're just starting out, there's a special set of missions called Start-Dash Missions that work similarly to Daily and Weekly Missions. Once you complete the Start-Dash Missions, you'll get a Witch's Invitation that will grant you an SR character of your choice.

Make sure to put some time toward completing all your missions so you don't miss out on these useful items and resources.

Claim Your Friend Points

Friend Points - MementoMori

While playing, you may have noticed that you're getting a lot of friend requests. Accept them, and send out friend requests of your own. That's because the more friends you have, the more Friend Points you can gain daily.

These Friend Points are used to pull characters from the Prayer of Friendship invocation banner, so you're going to get free pulls just by having more friends!

Level Up Your Witches

Leveling Up Witches - MementoMori

With your new resources, it'll be a good time to level up your Witches. We recommend prioritizing a DPS character that should be carrying you through the Main Quest (e.g. Cordie or Florence), and then leveling up the most useful support witch you have (e.g. Merlyn, Olivia).

Once you're done with them, level up the rest of your party accordingly. Remember to limit your leveling resources to five witches, most preferably those with the highest rarities (SSR upwards), so you can use them to raise the levels of all your other useful witches through Level Link.

Check the Shop

The Shop - MementoMori

Don't forget to check out the Shop! Here, you might be able to buy yourself Runes with Rune Tickets, as well as Holy and Dark Items you can use to Augment the equipment of your witches. The Shop is also where you're supposed to spend your Space-Time Coins, Battle Coins, and Guild Coins, so check and see if you have enough coins to buy the stuff you want.

Sometimes, valuable items like Kindling Orbs and equipment pieces will be sold for Gold at the regular shop. Other items also go on sale with discounts. Since the item selection renews regularly, make sure to check the regular Shop out from time to time to snatch up these deals.

Upgrade Your Equipment

Equipment Indicator - MementoMori

Once you've leveled up your Witches, make sure to equip them with the best equipment you have on hand. You'll know that you have good items to give your Witches when you see a red dot above their icon on the Character Roster screen. Tap their icon, and then tap 'Equip All' so they automatically get the best equipment in your inventory.

Augmenting Witch Equipment - MementoMori

Just like with leveling characters, prioritize the witch that's carrying you through the game, followed by the most useful support witches you have. Remember to Upgrade and Augment their equipment, and fit all of their items with Runes.

Upgrading a piece of gear increases how much of a stat increase it gives to your character, while Augmenting gives them additional stat bonuses. For example, augmenting chest gear with dark items grants Physical/Magical Def. Break stat bonuses.

Meanwhile, attaching Runes to your equipment grants even more stat bonuses. It's always worth getting all the rune slots for your equipment since they transfer over whenever you switch over to better gear.

Attach the best runes you have for the character (for example, PM DEF Break, SPD, ACC, or CRIT offensive runes), and fill in the rest of the slots with other runes you have that you think will be helpful (runes that increase your witch's main stats, ATK, etc). However, make sure to switch out these 'filler' runes once you get the runes your character actually needs.

Take On the Cave of Space-Time

Cave of Space-Time - MementoMori

With your leveled-up Witches, take on the Cave of Space-Time through the Trials tab! This dungeon has three levels with increasing difficulty. But clearing it grants you all kinds of rewards like EXP orbs, Kindling Orbs, and Diamonds. In addition, you'll also win Space-Time Coins, which you can use to buy character shards at the Shop.

This will be your primary way to get duplicates of powerful characters like Cordie and others, so make sure to clear the Cave of Space-Time every 48 hours so you don't miss out on the rewards.

Challenge the Tower of Infinity

Tower of Infinity - MementoMori

Another great way to get EXP, gold, upgrade materials, and equipment is the Tower of Infinity within the 'Trials' tab. As the name suggests, it's a tower with an infinite number of levels with increasing difficulty. Fight until your characters can't win anymore and potentially get a ton of useful resources.

In addition, you can re-challenge past levels up to three times daily (more than that even, if you're willing to spend Diamonds or use Tickets of Infinity) to get even more resources.

Dispatch Witches Through the Fountain of Prayers

Fountain of Prayers Dispatch - MementoMori

The Fountain of Prayers in the 'Trials' tab is another way to get specific resources you want without doing much of anything except sending your witches out on missions. These rewards range from Gold, and Diamonds to Mystery Runes and Kindling Orbs. If you want to get the reward quickly, you can spend a small amount of Diamonds to 'Quick Finish' the dispatch.

Always check out the Fountain of Prayers at least once a day and dispatch your witches on missions that give you the resources you want. Refresh the missions, and you'll get even more quests with the rewards you want. Dispatch witches on those quests, and keep refreshing and dispatching until you can't refresh anymore. This way, you'll maximize the rewards you get from the Fountain of Prayers daily.

Fight in the Battle League

Battle League Victory - MementoMori

Duking it out with other players in the Battle League will not only give you fame and recognition as you climb through the ranks but also resources! Fight in the Battle League and use up all your five attempts, and you'll be rewarded with Diamonds, Holy Fragments, and Battle Coins.

Holy Fragments are used to buy Holy items from the Shop (for use in Augmenting items), while Battle Coins are also used in the Shop to buy Chest Keys (which unlock Bronze, Silver, and Gold chests that contain items) and Tree of Life's Dew (which are used to Awaken rare equipment). We recommend saving your Battle Coins for Tree of Life's Dew, because they'll prove useful in the mid to late game.

Defeat Enemies at the Temple of Illusions

Temple of Illusions

If you want to upgrade your equipment and win currency whenever there's a special event, you can go to the Temple of Illusions and fight a battle against the many bosses within. Either fight by yourself, or party up with friends and other players.

Join Guild Events

Guild Events - Memento Mori

If you've joined a Guild, then you'll want to check on your Guild once a day. Participating in Guild Raids and Guild Battles (or Grand Battle mode if you're in a big enough Guild) will net you Diamonds, Equipment, as well as Gold, Kindling Orbs, and EXP. You'll also get Guild Coins that you can spend on items in the Shop like Rune Tickets.

So make sure to join a Guild that is active and does stuff daily. You might even make a few friends while you're there.

Pull From an Invocation Banner

Invocation - MementoMori

You may have extra Tickets in your inventory that you haven't used yet, such as the Ticket of the Cursed, Ticket of Souls, and Ticket of Chance. If you do, then we recommend using them to pull witches from their respective invocation banners (Prayer of the Cursed, the Prayer of Azure/Crimson/Emerald/Amber, and the Invocation of Chance). Even if you don't get SSR witches, you still stand to get Mystery Runes and even a Witch's Invitation on your 300th pull.

Remember that the Prayer of the Cursed Banner does not give bonuses for pulling in batches of ten, and there is no free R or SR witch every 10 invokes.

Progress Through the Main Quest

Progressing Through the Main Quest - MementoMori

Last, but not the least, progress through the Main Quest. You should be able to get through a lot of stages fairly quickly, though that would still depend on which Chapter you are at. Fight through the stages until you're stuck, level up your characters with the resources you gained, and then try progressing again.

Remember that you can re-challenge stages you've already beaten depending on how high your VIP level is. If you've already spent all your Quick Battle attempts and you still cant progress, then you may consider using your Boss Tickets, which are items you consume to gain more challenge attempts in the Main Quest.

Make sure to save your Boss Tickets until you hit a quest that you're having a particularly hard time getting through with the level of witches you have.

Use Your Daily Free Quick Battle

Daily Free Quick Battle - MementoMori

Once you've gotten as far as you can with the Main Quest, use up your Daily Free Quick Battles so you can get more EXP and Kindling Orbs, as well as equipment. It might give your witches just enough levels to push through a couple more Quests.

Use Your Consumable Items

Consumable Item - MementoMori

If you think you're still lacking resources to level up your witches, you might've not been using your consumable items. Check out the 'Box' tab and open the 'Consumables' section. Here, you may find things like Gold, Kindling Orbs, and EXP orbs with certain numbers of hours next to their names.

These items will give you that many hours worth of the resource, so an EXP Orb (8 hrs) would give you 8 hours worth of EXP orbs, and so on. Use these when you're stuck at a particular quest and you need to level up your witches and give them the power boost they need.

There are other consumable items in your Box that may prove useful, such as Mystery Runes, Chest Keys, and Witch's Shards and Letters/Invitations. These items will give you orbs, upgrade materials, and new witches that may help you get through a particularly tough quest as well.
