A maid who was saved after being found rampaging in a laboratory. Her previous work with one of the researchers has made her knowledgeable in medicine. Dian is now looking for a way to return the many victims of the Kingdom of Byrune's experiments back to their former selves.

Dian works as a housekeeper and apprentice for a professor researching cursed creatures, unknowingly lives in a country conducting unethical witch experiments. Despite the professor's outward coldness and secretive research, Dian tries to support her by doing chores and studying medicine. When the professor gives them a mysterious task to leave the country with classified documents on the experiments, Dian feels betrayed.

However, after being attacked by the Church for the documents and realizing their purpose, Dian understands the professor was trying to protect them. Now determined to help the professor and the cursed creatures, Dian takes a leave to work with the Duke of Fran, hoping to find a cure and fulfill her duty as an apprentice.
Dian is a loyal and determined individual with a gentle heart burdened by grief. Though once lost and unsure of her place in the world, she found purpose and unwavering dedication in serving her Master.
Dian's kindness extends beyond her Master, and her desire to use her knowledge to help others fuels her growth. Despite the sorrow that lingers from past experiences, Dian's resolve to fight for a better future and protect those she cares about shines through.

| "Professor, where might I find today's documents?" After she pondered for a few moments, I was silently handed the papers. The professor, who is also my master, is often thought to be unfriendly among her colleagues. But I know she is just slightly awkward. Recently, her research has not been going well, and the exhaustion seems to have caught up with her. I poured her a cup of tea to try and help her relieve some of the fatigue, but it contents have yet to diminish. |

| This country that I live in is conducting research on Witches. The professor specializes in the field of cursed creatures, but I know very little about her work since she hasn't once talked about it around me. I also never thought to ask about it. Instead, I did the housework for the busy professor, while also studying medicine in hopes of maybe helping with her research. I was living every day to the fullest, and that was good enough for me. |

| One day, the professor told me to visit her laboratory together with her. It was quite unusual...since she tends to keep her research private. As soon as we arrived, she handed me a pile of documents and said, "Take these and leave this country immediately." It took me a while to understand what she was saying... Why...? Have I done something wrong? No matter what I asked though, the professor never said a word. |

| I returned to my room, and though still in a daze, started packing. The professor abandoned me... That was all I had managed to understand. (Why...? Why won't you give me a reason?) Regardless of my opinions though, the professor's words cannot be changed. I began packing the documents she had given me into my bag...but my hands froze. "Report on the human experiments... Wh-What...? What is this...?" |

| The documents appealed to the King about some of the experiments being conducted in this country. Lists of the inhumane practices used went on for pages. I tried to understand what it all meant, but then, the door behind me opened suddenly. "Traitorous witch! Hand over the documents!" There stood the Church's soldiers, and a hideous-looking creature, chained by its neck. ...N-No...That's not... This creature...It can't be...!! And then...darkness consumed me... and I lost control. |

| At that time, Professor... I thought you had betrayed me... That the mutual trust we had for one another... was nothing but an illusion. But...I was wrong. You tried to protect me. | I used to believe that there was no place for me in this world. That...someone as cursed as me could be of no use to anyone. Until I met her... and her kindness changed my life. The research to unravel the Curse... The potential to save countless lives... A noble cause on the surface, but there's always something hidden beneath. and oh, how dark that something was. Light and darkness. Truth and deceipt. Ignorant of the anomalies that lurked around me, I simply lived in the fabricated tranquility... that she had created for me. If I attempt to bandage the cracks of my heart, the pain may subside for a while. But the blood would eventually seep out again, thus repeating the same cycle... Then, there really is nothing I can do... I only realized it after losing her. That she had trusted me more than I have ever thought she did... So much so that she had even entrusted her entire life to me. I knew nothing... Nothing at all... No... Perhaps I was simply pretending not to notice. If...if I had only believed in myself more... Then...things may have turned out differently. That's why, I've decided. No matter how difficult it may be, or if it goes beyond my body's capabilities, if there's a chance that I'm able to bring her back once more... "Then I will gladly...sacrifice my life. |
