Matilda is a buffer that also attacks enemies. Because of this, it is important to give her SPD so that her buffs get applied before the DPS character's first attack. More damage is always a good thing since she has strong attacks that scale off her ATK, like Queen of Jobari that deals 680% of her ATK as damage.

For defense, giving her more HP and STA will ensure that she survives long enough to outlast burst damage and contribute more to the team.

Soltina's debuffs can make enemies more vulnerable to Florence and Mimi's attacks, further increasing damage output. Fenrir can accelerate Florence's damage burst by reducing her cooldowns. On the other hand, Matilda provides offensive buffs and some tanking with her passive skill, Soulbound by Loyalty, offering some support to the team.

Attack-based Buffing Potential

Matilda's Queen of Jobari skill deals a hefty single-target damage and buffs herself and her strongest teammate's attack for a turn. This buff can't be dispelled, but it has a short duration. While limited to one enemy, it excels in teams focused on critical hits and single-target burst damage.

It also has synergy with the skill Royally Certified Banana, which extends the buff and removes potential downsides. As a result, it would be best to boost Matilda's ATK.

Versatile Damage and Strategic Healing

Matilda's Tiny Courage is a flexible skill that slams 2 high-DEF enemies with magic damage. If her HP is high, she can hit two more. When things get rough, and her HP is below 50%, this skill will prioritize healing herself and an ally for a massive HP restoration, potentially turning the battle around.

It's damage and healing all in one, but remember that more formidable enemies take less magic damage, and getting hurt to heal can be risky.

Shielding Tank

Matilda's Soulbound by Loyalty can utilize the teammates by her side to strengthen her passive shield, deflecting up to 40% of incoming damage at max level. With a strong team around her, she can become a reliable tank, letting her allies unleash their attacks while she takes the heat.

All she needs is 2 allies for maximum effect, but the more allies she has, the more formidable she is.

A Strong Buffer for Burst Damage Teams

With her skill, Royalty Certified Banana and Queen of Jobari, Matilda can increase the overall damage of your team by buffing their chance to hit, chance to deal a critical hit, and their ATK. This makes Matilda a valuable ally for characters that get buffs from these stats. A good example of a character like this is Liselotte as she gets an ATK buff from having her chance to deal a critical hit increased.

This makes Matilda a candidate for burst damage teams, particularly ones that rely on critical hits.
