Active Skills Deal Significant Damage

Both active skills, Sanguine Mist and Ashen Wings, deliver significant physical damage. As they level up, their damage increases considerably, making Rustica a formidable damage dealer. Rustical excels in teams that focus on buffing allies. Her skills target the ally with the highest number of buffs, enhancing their HP drain and ATK, which is crucial in battles. Skills like Golden Azure Mending provide substantial [Shield] to both her and the most buffed ally, enhancing their survivability. This shield cannot be dispelled, offering consistent protection. Bluebird's Protector significantly reduces the damage Rustica takes by 75% at the start of the battle. This can be useful for surviving initial attacks. Rustica's skills provide a mix of offensive, defensive, and support abilities, making her a versatile asset to any team.

Among the buffers in MementoMori, Rustica offers an HP Drain boost to an ally. Most HP Drain buff from the previous characters (Fia, Lunalynn, Cherna) only apply to themselves, but Rustica generously offers it to the most buffed character. She also has an 8-turn [Shield] for her and her ally that can't be dispelled, and if that character is an Amber ally, the [Shield] gets stronger by 150% of Rustica's ATK. She specializes in being a buffer so you might need to at least UR her so that when you equip her unique weapon, she can give a [Shield] to her ally. If the ally is an Amber, her [Shield] can go as high as 800% of Rustica's ATK. Getting her to LR may increase her damage to 640% of her ATK but she will most likely be worth pulling from around UR onwards.

Sanguine Mist's Targeting is Random

Her active skill, Sanguine Mist deals physical attacks to random enemies, which might not always hit high-priority targets. This randomness can reduce its effectiveness in certain situations. Both active skills have a cooldown of 4 turns, limiting their frequency of use in fast-paced battles. Her skills rely heavily on having allies with buffs. If the team composition doesn't focus on buffing allies, Rustica's effectiveness diminishes. Achieving the full potential of Rustica's skills requires significant investment in leveling her up. Players may find the cost high compared to the benefits if their team isn't built around buffing strategies.

Powerful and Versatile, But Random Targeting Holds Her Back

Rustica is a powerful and versatile witch with high damage output and strong support capabilities. Her skills are most effective in teams that focus on buffing allies, as she can enhance their survivability and damage output. The random targeting of her attacks and reliance on buffs are potential drawbacks, but her overall utility makes her a valuable addition to many team compositions.

Get her if your team strategy revolves around buffing allies and you can invest in leveling her up to maximize her potential. She can be good in Amber Tower where she can be paired with Summer Amleth and Tama. Summer Amleth can benefit from having the buffs from Rustica while Tama does the same for Summer Amleth, making Rustica activate the buffs needed for her active skills. In niche situations where buffing is less prominent, her value might be reduced but still offers significant benefits.

Prioritize ATK and HP Runes

ATK rune increases Rustica's attack power, which directly boosts the damage of her skills like Sanguine Mist and Ashen Wings, Higher attack power means she can become a more formidable damage dealer. HP rune increases Rustica's health and makes her more durable, able to withstand more damage. This is important because it allows her to stay in the fight longer and continue using her skills to support her team.

Other runes that can be equipped are CRIT and SPD runes, as well as P. DEF and M. DEF runes.

This Amber tower team is heavily focused on physical damage, and they synergize well to amplify it. Summer Amleth and Tama's debuffs combined with team-wide ATK buffs from Primavera and Rustica create a potent damage engine. Rustica's kit is designed to enhance buffed allies, and Summer Amleth, Asahi, and Primavera all provide buffs, creating a strong buff-focused core.

Rustica and Tama provide consistent shields, and Summer Amleth has a cheat death passive, offering multiple layers of protection for the team. Summer Amleth and Asahi's damage scales well over time due to their stacking ATK buffs, making them effective in longer battles. Primavera's team buffs also scale with more allies being alive at the start, further improving longevity.

If you want to have a more CRIT-focused team with enhanced team survivability and burst potential, you can replace Asahi with Winter Amour.

Level 2 (Unlocks by level 81) The physical attacks’ damage becomes equal to 580% of her ATK. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 161) The amount the target’s HP Drain increases by becomes 30%.

Level 2 (Unlocks by level 21) Additionally, each time Rustica uses this skill, the number of physical attacks increases by 1 (6 total attacks max). Level 3 (Unlocks by level 101) The amount the ally target’s ATK increases by becomes 30%. Level 4 (Unlocks by level 181) The physical attacks’ damage becomes equal to 740% of her ATK.
