New Protean Hero Game Mode

Honkai Star Rail - 3.1 New Divergent Universe

Version 3.1 brings the new Protean Hero update to the Divergent Universe! This game mode, which is based on the Amphoreus Titans and Chrysos Heirs, introduces new mechanics that replace the ones for The Human Comedy topic.

New Golden Blood's Boon

Honkai Star Rail - New Golden Blood

A new mechanic called the Golden Blood's Boon has been added to the new Protean Hero Divergent Universe. There are two modes available for the Golden Blood Boon, Day and Night, each providing the Trailblazers with different effects.

Day mode enhances SPD Boost, Energy Regeneration, and HP Restoration. DMG Increase, Max HP Boost, and DMG Boost after HP reduction are all included in the Night mode.

Astronomical Division Mode

Honkai Star Rail - Astronomical Division Mode
Astronomical Division mode was also added to the Divergent Universe: Protean Hero. It's divided into two modes, Star-Pioneer mode and Practice Mode.

Star Pioneer will force Trailblazers to only enter protocol levels that match their Astronomical Division. Trailblazers can increase Astronomical Division and challenge higher Protocol Levels by filling up their Cognoculi, which are obtained from completing challenges.

Practice Mode is a mode where Trailblazers can challenge protocol levels regardless of their Astronomical Division. Completing or failing a challenge in this mode will not affect your Astronomical Division or your Cognoculi count.

In-Game Strategies

Honkai Star Rail - In-Game Strategies
Strategy Compendium is now available in-game, which allows Trailblazers to use specific strategies. They'll be able to see hints suitable for their strategies, showing up when choosing Equations, Weighted Curios, and others.

Your characters, Light Cones, and Relics will be strengthened if ever their levels are not maxed out and do not match your Equilibrium Level.

Do note that these adjustments only apply in the Divergent Universe's Ordinary and Cyclical Extrapolation.

Change Characters Anytime

Honkai Star Rail - Change Your Lineup Anytime

You will have full access to all your characters in the Divergent Universe, which means you can switch your party members without having to download them like in the Simulated Universe.

Get Buffs From Equations

Honkai Star Rail - Equations in the Divergent Universe

Equations are buffs that you can get at the start and while also playing the Divergent Universe's Ordinary or Cyclical Extrapolation.

Equations provide stronger buffs than a single Blessing, but can only be activated after obtaining a sufficient number of Blessings from the specified Path.

Each Equation has a different Star Level. The higher the Star Level is, the more blessings are required to activate its effect.

Change Equations Using the Workbench of Creation

Honkai Star Rail - Work Bench of Creation

If the current Equation you are using does not suit your playstyle, you can visit a Workbench of Creation to overwrite your existing Equation and switch it out using Cosmic Fragments.

You can switch out Blessings using Cosmic Fragments and enhance them using a currency called Heat. Certain Workbenches of Creation can also transmute Curios into higher leveled Curios or even Weighted Curios.

Enhance Your Characters Through Weighted Curios

Honkai Star Rail - Weighted Curio

Weighted Curios are introduced in the Divergent Universe. These Curios are suited for characters in a specific type or Path. Weighted Curios are harder to obtain than normal ones, but are much more powerful.

Also, characters that are boosted by a Weighted Curio have a special tag on them in the character list.

New Wealth and Escapade Domains

Honkai Star Rail - Blessed Dream Slots

Also introduced in the Divergent Universe are two new Domains: Wealth and Escapade. You can use your Cosmic Fragments to win prizes such as Curios and Blessings.

Note that you might spend your Cosmic Fragments for nothing or even get Negative Curios that you generally do not need.

Wealth Domain Has a Precious Chest

Honkai Star Rail - Wealth Domain

The Domain: Wealth contains a slot machine that can provide Curios or Blessings. It will also have a Precious Chest that provides a lot of Cosmic Fragments.

Escapade Domain Has Workbench of Creation

Honkai Star Rail - Escapade Domain

The Domain: Escapade also contains a slot machine. Unlike the Domain: Wealth, it contains a Workbench of Creation that functions differently from the ones usually encountered.

The workbench allows you to synthesize Curios of equal rarity into random ones. It also allows you to overwrite Weighted Curios into other Weighted Curios!

Restart Combat Challenges

Star Rail - Divergent Universe Restart Combat Challenge

If you are about to lose a fight, you no longer need to Force Stop the game. Instead, you can now Restart the Challenge in combat domains of the Divergent Universe!

Increase Synchronicity Level

Honkai Star Rail - Divergent Universe Guide - Increase Synchronicity Level

While playing Divergent Universe, you will earn Synchronicity Points and also increase your Synchronicity Level. After reaching a specific level, you can claim the corresponding rewards.

Unlock Buffs in Inspiration Circuit

Star Rail - Divergent Universe Inspiration Circuit

You also earn Inspiration whenever you clear Divergent Universe stages. These can be used to activate Buff Nodes in the Inspiration Circuit.

Unlocking Buff Nodes will give your characters a permanent buff when playing Divergent Universe. You can also reset the Inspiration Circuit and recover all Inspiration spent to reselect your buffs.

Place Objects in the Probability Museum

The Probability Museum is an area where you can display objects you get from the Divergent Universe, located in the Radiant Feldspar. These objects provide you with additional buffs.

How to Unlock the Probability Museum

Honkai Star Rail - Probability Museum Exhibits

There are two ways to unlock the Probability Museum. You can clear Ordinary Extrapolation Threshold Protocol 1 to get Herta: Collector's Edition by claiming it from the Stable Computing Array.

You can alternatively grind to Synchronicity Level 10 and then claim the Road of Mundanite to activate the Adventure Mission called Probability, Aesthetics, and Circuits.

Planar Ornaments can now be easily obtained through the Planar Ornament Extraction. You can use the save file saved during completion of the Divergent Universe to challenge Bosses and immediately obtain Planar Ornaments.

Use Save Files to Easily Clear Boss Fights

Star Rail - Divergent Universe Records

Players can use Save Files from clearing Divergent Universe stages, which include the Equations, Blessings, and Curios used to clear the stage.

Once a Save File has been created, you can use it to clear Planar Ornament Extraction Boss Fights!

Challenge Ordinary and Cyclical Extrapolation

Honkai Star Rail - Ordinary and Cyclical Extrapolation

Ordinary Extrapolation is permanent and has five difficulties. After clearing all the difficulties, you will be able to use the Threshold Protocol to further enhance the difficulty.

Cyclical Extrapolation on the other hand refreshes weekly. Completing both Ordinary and Cyclical Extrapolation will also grant Simulated Universe points.

To unlock higher Threshold Protocol levels, you must clear the current Protocol in Ordinary Extrapolation stages.
