The Path of Propagation is the path introduced in Honkai: Star Rail's Swarm Disaster game mode. See how to unlock it, how to use it, path buffs, and all the Propagation Blessings here!
The Path of Propagation Blessings unlocks during the Experimental Teacher (II) Mission when you first encounter a Swarm Domain within the map in the Swarm Disaster game mode within the Simulated Universe.
The full path can only be unlocked by completing all chapters of the Swarm Disaster game mode and the Swarm Disaster: The End Adventure Mission! After that, it can be used both in the normal Simulated Universe Worlds or in the Swarm Disaster.
Simulated Universe Swarm Disaster Guide
The resonance of the Path of Propagation can give a certain amount of skill points. For characters like Qingque or Imbibitor Lunae, this can give you an extra enhanced Basic ATK after consuming a lot of Skill Points.
It's best to use the propagation path resonance after your Main DPS or a Harmony character like Bronya has done their turn. This is so you can dish out another set of attacks without the enemy having a turn!
Character | Merits |
---|---|
Imbibitor Lunae | • The path of propagation matches well with Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae due to the blessings focusing on buffing characters who use their Skills often especially those with enhanced basic ATK. |
Blade | • Blade can benefit greatly from this path due to his Skill enhancing his Basic ATK and causing AoE DMG to the enemies. • Note that if you do use Blade in the Swarm Disaster in this path avoid taking the Adherent Microbial Mat because he does not have any use for shields. • Add a wind weakness to the Swarm Boss as well if you get the chance to do that in the first or second plane! |
Qingque | • Qingque's ability to enhance her Basic ATK similar to Imbibitor Lunae make her a good fit for the blessings in the Swarm Disaster. |
Seele | • Seele can also be used with the path of propagation active because it can give extra turns similar to when she's paired up with Bronya, allowing you to dish out more DMG. |

Activation Conditions | Path Resonance can be activated when 3 Blessings of Propagation have been obtained, and Resonance Formation can be activated when 6/10/14 have been obtained. Upon receiving 3 Blessings of Propagation, you will also receive 3 Blessings of Preservation and 3 Blessings of Destruction, allowing for the respective activation of the corresponding Resonance Interplay. |
Buffs | Dimension effect: When the first or second plane begins, turn 2 random domains into Combat: Swarm and Occurrence: Swarm domain. |
Continuous effect: When allies enter Combat: Swarm or Occurrence: Swarm domain, they will receive a special effect of Propagation. (For every Combat: Swarm or Occurrence: Swarm domain that allies pass through, all allies' Basic ATK DMG increases by 20%.) | |
Effects |
Metamorphosis During an attack, for every skill point consumed or recovered, the attack can ignore 10% of the target enemy's all-Type RES. This effect can stack up to 2 times. |
Spores When the spore count is equal to or greater than 3, it will burst upon being attacked by a character, causing Additional Wind DMG (unaffected by bonuses) to the target with the Spores. After the explosion, it will spread to a random adjacent target and cannot spread again. Each enemy target can hold a maximum of 6 spores. |
