Best Path for World 8

Propagation and The Hunt

Propagation is the best Path for clearing World 8 if you are using characters like Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae, whose kit involves using their Skills often to enhance their Basic ATKs. The Path Resonance of Propagation provides a certain amount of Skill Points, allowing them to gain an extra enhanced Basic ATK.

If you have yet to unlock Propagation, The Hunt is also great for World 8. With its Path Resonance, you can easily destroy Yanqing's Flying Swords whenever he summons it. Alternatively, if you are using Blade as your team's DPS, Destruction is also useful and its Path Resonance can also destroy the Flying Swords!

Get Abundance and Preservation Blessings

In addition to the recommended Paths, picking up Blessings from Abundance and Preservation will keep your team alive from Yanqing's attacks.

If you have Blade, we do not recommend picking up Preservation Blessings since shields prevent him from losing health, hindering Blade from stacking his Talent. Instead, you can pick up Elation Blessings to further increase his Follow-Up Attack DMG!

Collect the Faith Bond and Seal Curios

Curio	Effect
Faith Bond	Reduces the Cosmic Fragments required for leveling up Blessings, resetting Blessings, and resetting downed characters by 30%.
Sealing Wax of Propagation	Randomly gains 1 Blessing of Propagation after obtaining this Curio. When choosing your Blessings after winning a battle, there is an increased chance for Blessings of Propagation to appear.
Sealing Wax of The Hunt	Randomly gains 1 Blessing of The Hunt after obtaining this Curio. When choosing your Blessings after winning a battle, there is a greatly increased chance for Blessings of The Hunt to appear.

Look for the Faith Bond Curio to upgrade your Blessings at a cheaper price or reroll for your Path Blessings. You can also collect the Sealing Wax Curios to further increase the chance of appearing for the Blessings of your chosen Path.

If you are using a Path such as The Hunt, which has a Path Resonance that deals damage, also pick up The Doctor's Robe Curio so that the Path Resonance will deal more damage against Yanqing's Flying Swords.

Best Characters for World 8

Character	Merits
Imbibitor Lunae	Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae is an Imaginary DPS who excels in both single target and AoE DMG. He is a great DPS to use in World 8 since almost all enemies including the boss are weak to Imaginary.
Dr. Ratio	Dr. Ratio is an Imaginary DPS who excels in single-target damage. He is a great DPS to use in World 8 since his strong Follow-up attacks are effective against Bosses and can deal more DMG if enemies have debuffs.
Luocha	Luocha's kit can easily keep the team alive. Since most enemies in World 8 are weak to Imaginary, he can also Weakness Break them.
Aventurine	Aventurine can shield everyone using his Skill, allowing him to solo sustain. With Aventurine being an offense-based Preservation unit, he can also help the DPS defeat Yanqing using his Ultimate and follow-up attacks.
Yukong	Yukong is an Imaginary character that can be obtained for free. Her kit allows her to buff the team's ATK and CRIT stats, which is generally useful.
Welt	Welt is a great support for World 8 since a lot of enemies are weak to Imaginary. Welt can also slow enemies down with his Skill and delay the enemy's turns with his Ultimate.
Blade	Blade is a great Wind DPS you can bring to World 8 due to his hard-hitting AoE attacks. Taking the Path of Destruction during your run increases his DMG and survivability.
Dan Heng	Dan Heng is another Wind DPS. Unlike Blade, his kit focuses on single-target attacks. With the buffs provided by The Hunt Blessings, he can be a solid F2P option for World 8.
Bronya	A great support that fits in any of the recommended hyper-carry teams in this guide. With her skill, she can increase the DMG output of the DPS, and her Ultimate buffs the team's ATK and CRIT DMG.
Huohuo	Huohuo is an amazing healer whose Ultimate regenerates the Energy of her allies and also buffs their ATK. With her Skill, she can heal and cleanse debuffs from allies.
Black Swan	Black Swan is a DoT-based character that can stack Arcana DoTs on enemies. She is best paired with Kafka and her DoTs get stronger the more Arcana stacks an enemy has.
Sampo	Sampo is a DoT-based character that can deal decent damage. He is best paired with Kafka and can take advantage of the DoT augments from Nihility Blessings.
Acheron	Acheron's main damage source is her Ultimate and you have to stack her Talent to use it. It can be done by inflicting debuffs on enemies. So, you have to team her up with Nihility characters and others who have an ability that can inflict a debuff.
Kafka	If you're planning to use a DoT team, Kafka will be your main DPS. She has a strong single target and AoE damage. Her Skill also procs all DoTs currently inflicted on the target enemy.
Tingyun	Like Bronya, Tingyun is also a support who can work in any of the recommended hyper-carry teams. She can recharge the Energy of an ally using her Ultimate. Her Skill also provides an ATK buff.
Silver Wolf	Silver Wolf, can add an Elemental Weakness to enemies using her Skill, allowing you to run a Quantum team for World 8. Her Skill can also destroy Yanqing's Flying Swords easily.
Jing Yuan	Jing Yuan is a Lightning DPS who excels in both dealing lots of AoE DMG. He is a great DPS to use in World 8 since most enemies including the boss are weak to Lightning. With Elation Blessings, he can easily clear Yanqing's swords.

Dan Heng and Serval will serve as both DMG dealers and can break most enemy weaknesses. Yukong can increase the party's ATK and CRIT stats.

If Dan Heng and Serval's attacks are not enough to destroy Yanqing's Flying Swords, use the Path Resonance to take them out.

Do note that this team is strictly an F2P team, if you have other characters that can be used instead of the ones listed above, do not hesitate to bring them!

Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae is an outstanding DPS who can easily defeat any enemy in World 8. With him as the DPS, you can use Propagation as your path since Imbibitor Lunae's main source of DMG is his Basic ATKs. Alternatively, The Path of The Hunt can be used.

The best support for Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae is Sparkle since she gives him offensive buffs and provides SP restoration. Pela is amazing for reducing enemy DEF and dispelling enemy buffs. Yukong can also be a substitute due to her ATK and CRIT buffs.

The best healer for this team is Luocha since he is Skill Point positive. If you do not have him, you can also use other healers such as Huohuo and Bailu!

Dr. Ratio DPS Team

Dr. Ratio is a great single-target DPS who can easily defeat any enemy in World 8, including Yanqing. With Dr. Ratio as your DPS, destroying Yanqing's Flying Swords immediately will not be an issue if you use The Hunt or Elation's Path Resonance.

A great support to pair with Dr. Ratio is Silver Wolf since she can implant tons of debuffs into an enemy, increasing Dr. Ratio's chances of dishing out Follow-Up attacks.

Aventurine can solo sustain as the shielder. His Ultimate can also inflict a debuff on an enemy, which increases CRIT DMG dealt to them. Topaz is part of the team to buff the Follow-Up Attack DMG taken by enemies

Wind DPS Team

This team's DPS is Blade, whose AoE abilities are strong against Yanqing. Bronya can increase Blade's DMG output with her Skill. Silver Wolf acts as a debuffer since her abilities have DEF shred.

Huohuo can provide even more ATK while also restoring HP and cleansing debuffs. She can also restore the party's energy when needed! If you don't have Huohuo, Luocha, and other sustain units like Bailu can be used instead!

Acheron DPS Team

Acheron is a viable DPS for World 8 since most enemies are weak to Lightning. You can add in Welt and Silver Wolf to maximize the DMG buff from Acheron's Bonus Ability since they are Nihility Characters.

Luocha is the healer of the team and can contribute to destroying Yanqing's Flying Sword with his Ultimate.

Jing Yuan DPS Team

This team's main DPS is Jing Yuan, with his AoE Follow-Up Attacks. He can easily destroy Yanqing's Flying Swords with his attacks. Bronya can increase Jing Yuan's DMG with her Skill and his ATK and CRIT DMG with her Ultimate.

Topaz increases Follow-UP ATK DMG taken by enemies which allows Jing Yuan to deal even more damage. Luocha would act as the healer. If you don't have Luocha, other Abundance characters like Bailu can be used instead!

Quantum DPS Team

If you have Silver Wolf, you can use a Quantum DPS for World 8. By bringing Quantum characters or other units whose elements are the same as Yanqing's weaknesses, Silver Wolf can apply Quantum weakness to Yanqing and his Flying Swords.

With Seele as the main DPS, The Hunt is the best Path to use since she will greatly benefit from its Blessings. Also, if you're planning to use Qingque instead of Seele, Propagation will be the better choice since Qingque's DMG comes from her enhanced Basic ATKs.

If you do not have Fu Xuan, other sustain units such as Huohuo, Bailu, and Lynx can be used instead!

Nihility DoT Team

Since this is a DoT team, the Nihility Path is needed. Your DPS will be Kafka and Black Swan who can dish out high amounts of DoT while still being able to deal with Yanqing's Flying Swords. Silver Wolf's role is to shred the DEF of enemies. She can also destroy Yanqing's Flying Swords with her Skill.

Huohuo as the healer will buff everyone's ATK and also give them some Energy with her Ultimate, further increasing the DMG output of the DoT team. If you do not have Huohuo, you can use a different sustain unit like Luocha and Bailu!

How to Beat Yanqing - World 8 Boss

Destroy Yanqing's Flying Swords

Cloud Knight Lieutenant: Yanqing will summon Flying Swords which disables his weakness until all of them are destroyed. The swords will have a random weakness that can be Lightning, Wind, or Imaginary.

The best way to take out Yanqing's Swords is to use attacks with their Weaknesses or use Path Resonance if you are using Destruction or The Hunt. If you are running a different path and use a DPS like Imbibitor Lunae or Jing Yuan), Yanqing's Swords can easily be defeated with their AoE attacks.

Also, if Silver Wolf is part of the team, she can easily destroy a sword with her Skill if her allies use the same element as Yanqing's weaknesses!

Beware of Aethereal Dreamflux

In Phase 3, Yanqing has an ability called Aethereal Dreamflux. This is a single-target attack that deals Ice damage multiple times depending on the number of Flying Swords left on the field. After he uses this ability, all Flying Swords are removed.

Yanqing first uses Qi Converge, where he locks onto a target and uses Aethereal Dreamflux after two turns. Use this time to remove all Flying Swords on the field to avoid Yanqing's attack. If you can't remove all of them, the attack will still deal less damage!
