To unlock Trailblaze Secrets, you must meet the trigger criteria listed above. These criteria mostly require you to stay in a certain range of Cognition Value, which may change randomly as you go through the plane, encounter Occurrences, and other things.

Aeon Secrets Unlock Requirements

Borderstar Trade War (I)	・Collect all Trailblaze Secrets in the First Plane
Borderstar Trade War (II)	・Collect all Trailblaze Secrets in the First Plane

To unlock Aeon Secrets, you need to obtain all Trailblaze Secrets for the Plane listed in its criteria. This means you'll have to find every Trailblaze Secret for each plane to unlock a specific Aeon Secret.

Intra-Cognition System

New System in Gold and Gears

The Intra-Cognition System is a new feature introduced in Gold and Gears. It is a gauge that keeps track of your Cognition Value, which can affect the outcome of events, Occurrences, and even find Secrets in the different Planes of Gold and Gears.

Increase or Decrease Cognition Value

Cognition Value is a number on top of the Cognition Bar, which you should always take note of when unlocking Secrets. This number needs to be in the range of the trigger criteria of the Secret to unlock it.

To make sure that it's always in the right range, you need to increase or decrease the Cognition Value through random events and Occurrences. These may happen at any time you're traversing a Plane, so make sure to always keep an eye on your Cognition Value.

Enter Intra-Cognition Domains

A way to adjust your Cognition Value is to use Intra-Cognition Domains. These domains are special Occurrence domains that can adjust your Cognition Value and help you reach your desired target range.

Emergency Events Adjust Cognition Value

One thing that can also adjust Cognition Value is triggered Emergencies. These emergencies happen randomly, so take note of your Cognition Value at all times and prepare for this accordingly.

Use Cognition Value Target Range

The Cognition Value Target Range are the two rectangles in the Cognition Bar. These can help you identify if you're in the right range of the Secret you're looking for, or just plainly tell you if your Cognition Value is negative or positive.

You can use this range to help you calculate how much Cognition Value you need to add or decrease, depending on the Secret you want to unlock.

Follow Recommended Secrets

Once you start a run, you will see the Recommended Secrets for the run. These are Secrets that you would want to find and follow, since you'll earn extra drop rewards if you manage to keep your Cognition Value within the target range and unlock these Secrets.

Keep in mind that Recommended Secrets are only a suggestion and you can try to find other Secrets during your run if you wish to do so!

Trailblaze and Aeon Secrets are unlockables introduced in Gold and Gears. These Secrets tell different stories about the IPC and the Aeons, which you can unlock while playing through the all-new Intra-Cognition System.

Using this system, you can unlock Trailblaze Secrets that are composed of different storylines about the IPC. These Secrets then unlock Aeon Secrets!

Discover Various Aeon Secrets

Aeon Secrets contain information and stories about the Aeons. These secrets can only be unlocked once you obtain all Trailblaze Secrets in a specific Plane, so make sure to unlock every single one of them!

Unlock Different Dice Faces

Upon unlocking Trailblaze and Aeon Secrets, you will receive Dice Faces with various effects for your hard work. You can use these Dice Faces to further optimize your current dice customization, or use them to try out different playstyles.

Find All Secrets for the Final Chapter

After unlocking all Trailblaze Secrets and Aeon Secrets, you will unlock the Final Chapter. This will also reward you with the General: Phaseless Dice Face, which lets you discard Curios to increase the Countdown.
