Elation is one of the Paths you can choose in the Simulated Universe of Honkai: Star Rail. See how to unlock it, how to use it, the best characters that can use it, the Path's buffs, and all the Elation Blessings here!
List of Contents
The Path of Elation is already unlocked once you start playing the Simulated Universe. It is one of the three Paths that are unlocked when you first start, with the others being Preservation and Remembrance.
The Path of Elation is also available in the Swarm Disaster, the most recent addition to the Simulated Universe. Here, the Path of Elation and its Blessings need to be unlocked by having the six other Paths unlocked first.
Simulated Universe Swarm Disaster Guide
The Path of Elation is also available in Gold and Gears. Here, the Path of Elation and its Blessings are already unlocked and can be used immediately!
Simulated Universe Gold and Gears Guide
The Path of Elation empowers and boosts follow-up attacks. Its Blessings provide increased follow-up attack DMG, follow-up attack Break Efficiency, and Aftertaste which is a follow-up attack of a random DMG type dealt by specific Blessings of Elation.
The Path of Elation's Blessings revolve around follow-up attacks and its Path Resonance is no different. Its Path Resonance deals Aftertaste DMG to all enemies three to five times, which deals more damage the more buffs you get for follow-up attacks.
The Path of Elation in the Simulated Universe works by boosting follow-up attack damage while also giving additional effects like Aftertaste when using a follow-up attack. Random instances of damage like this make follow-up attacks potent.
These buffs make a party with a follow-up attack DPS perform very well. The only drawback with the Path of Elation is that it only works well with characters that have follow-up attacks as their main source of damage.
Since the Path of Elation's core is buffing follow-up attacks, focus on it. The Path Resonance deals Aftertaste DMG three to five times, while its Blessings can provide buffs to follow-up attacks and give you more ways of inflicting Aftertaste DMG.
Make sure to get Elation Blessings so you can upgrade the Path Resonance and make it have more effects, such as increasing follow-up attack damage taken. Obtaining more Blessings also means more follow-up attack buffs for your party, so it's always a good deal.
For you to maximize the follow-up attack damage boost that Elation Blessings gives, you need to have more ATK, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG. You can use Destruction Blessings that provide ATK boosts while also getting some that reduce damage taken.
Additionally, get The Hunt Blessings that increase both CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG for even more damage. Having Blessings that increase Speed is also good and if you need defensive Blessings, you can also get some from Preservation or Abundance.
In Swarm Disaster, the mechanics for Paths work differently. Swarm Disaster introduces a board that you traverse to enter different domains. Each Path affects the board by modifying it in a way based on their Audience Die.
The Path of Elation's Audience Die alters the board by giving domains Happiness, which gives domains random effects before entering them. This may change the domain, give you the domain's rewards immediately, or even enhance the domain.
Since the Path of Elation gives domains Happiness, playing around it will be beneficial. Some Dice Effects give certain types of domains Happiness, so make sure to use each Dice Effect to your advantage.
Using the Dice Effect Spirit of Chaos, you can apply a random Happiness to any type of domain. Keep in mind that Happiness gets applied automatically to all domains for the first and second planes and may or may not trigger once you enter them!
While using the Path of Elation in the Swarm Disaster, whenever you enter a domain you obtain a stacking follow-up attack damage boost for your party that lasts throughout the run.
Make sure to stack as much damage as you can before the Boss in Plane 3 by taking advantage of this continuous effect.
With Resonance Interplay in Swarm Disaster, getting three Blessings of Remembrance and Abundance is a must. The buffs they provide to the Path Resonance are invaluable and can be used to make your run easier, so take advantage of them!
Keep in mind that only three Blessings of each Path are required to activate their respective Resonance Interplays, so you don't need to get more Blessings after unless you want to.
Aside from Resonance Interplay, defensive Blessings still pair well with the Path of Elation here in Swarm Disaster. Enemies in the Swarm Disaster hit like a truck, especially the The Swarm - True Sting.
Preservation and Abundance Blessings provide you with shields and increased healing. Since Elation focuses on follow-up attack damage, it is good to get some defensive Blessings to guarantee your party's safety.
The Path of Elation increases follow-up attack DMG for all allies whenever you meet the conditions for the Custom Dice's passive effects. With this, it is important to understand how your chosen Custom Dice's passive effect works since it is different for every type!
Character | Explanation |
---|---|
Jing Yuan | This Path is amazing for Jing Yuan since Jing Yuan's main source of damage is follow-up attacks. The Elation Blessings just increase his follow-up attack damage and give him additional buffs while doing so. |
Himeko | Himeko is a great pick when using the Path of Elation since some of her damage comes from follow-up attacks. An Elation Blessing allows her Ultimate to be considered as a follow-up attack, which benefits from other follow-up attack buffs. |
Topaz | Topaz is a great character to use with the Path of Elation since her kit revolves around follow-up attacks. Her Skill, which increase damage taken of an enemy from follow-up attacks, goes well with the other buffs provided by the Path of Elation. |
Yanqing | Yanqing's kit goes well with Path of Elation since Yanqing can do decent follow-up attack damage. Since he can freeze enemies, it is recommended to also pick up some Remembrance Blessings while running the Path of Elation. |
Clara | Clara plays well with Path of Elation since her kit focuses on her follow-up attacks after getting hit. Elation Blessings increases her follow-up attack damage and also provides her with additional buffs whenever she uses her follow-up attacks. |
Blade | Blade also does well with Path of Elation since his kit also includes follow-up attacks. Elation Blessings increase his follow-up attack damage and you can pair this up with some Destruction Blessings for synergy with Low HP. |
Herta | Herta's kit does well with Path of Elation since Herta can do follow-up attacks. Paired with Remembrance Blessings, she can freeze enemies while having increased follow-up attack damage. |
Overall, Path of Elation is great for characters who use follow-up attacks. The Path's buffs and Blessings can help them deal more damage through follow-up attacks, all while supporting it with different buffs and Aftertaste DMG.
