Simulated Universe World 4 Guide
The Path of Nihility is also available in the Swarm Disaster, the most recent addition to the Simulated Universe. Here, the Path of Nihility and its Blessings needs to be unlocked by having a challenge get interrupted in Swarm Disaster.
Simulated Universe Swarm Disaster Guide
The Path of Nihility is also available in Gold and Gears. Here, the Path of Nihility and its Blessings are already unlocked and can be used immediately!
Simulated Universe Gold and Gears Guide
The Path of Nihility mainly uses status effects as its core. Its Blessings provide improved Break Effect, Break Efficiency, increased DoT damage, and Suspicion which is a debuff for enemies that increases DoT damage taken.
The Path of Nihility's Blessings revolves around DoT and its Path Resonance is no different. Its Path Resonance applies DoT status effects to all enemies for two turns, which deals more damage the more buffs you get for DoT.
The Path of Nihility in the Simulated Universe works by allowing your characters to deal increased DoT damage while also giving them a way to apply and trigger DoT without having to wait for the enemy's turn. This makes a DoT-focused party perform very well.
The only drawback with the Path of Nihility is that it only works well with characters that specialize in dealing DoT damage.
Since the Path of Nihility's main thing is buffing DoT, play around it. The Path Resonance applies DoT effects for two turns and amplifies DoT effects, while its Blessings can add more ways for you to apply DoT.
Capitalize on this and make sure to get Nihility Blessings so you can upgrade the Path Resonance and make it have more effects, such as increasing DoT duration. Obtaining more Blessings also means more DoT buffs for your party, so it is always a win-win situation.
For you to maximize the DoT boost that Nihility Blessings gives, you need to have high ATK and Speed for more turns. You can use Destruction Blessings that provide a lot of ATK to increase damage DoTs do or The Hunt Blessings that increase Speed to get more turns.
Having Blessings that increase Effect Hit Rate and reduce enemy Effect RES is also good! If you need defensive Blessings, you can also get some from Preservation or Abundance.
In Swarm Disaster, the mechanics for Paths have an additional function. Swarm Disaster introduces a board that you traverse to enter different domains. Each Path affects the board by modifying it in a way based on their Audience Die.
The Path of Nihility's Audience Die alters the board by turning domains into Blank domains, which turn into random domains when you enter them.
Since the Path of Nihility turns domains into Blank domains, always entering them will be beneficial. Some Dice Effects reward you with a Curio or Blessing while turning domains to Blank, so make sure to use each Dice Effect to your advantage!
Using the Dice Effect Transition, you can turn a Blank domain into a Reward domain which provides you with different rewards. The Dice Effect Nothingness gives you Cosmic Fragments when entering a Blank Domain.
While using the Path of Nihility in the Swarm Disaster, whenever you enter a Blank domain you obtain a stacking DoT damage boost for your party that lasts throughout the run.
This gives more incentive to only enter Blank domains since you want to take advantage of this continuous effect.
With Resonance Interplay in Swarm Disaster, getting three Blessings of The Hunt and Propagation is a must. The buffs they provide to the Path Resonance are invaluable and can be used to make your run easier, so take advantage of them!
Keep in mind that only three Blessings of each Path are required to activate their respective Resonance Interplays, so you don't need to get more Blessings after unless you want to.
Aside from Resonance Interplay, defensive Blessings still pair well with the Path of Nihility here in Swarm Disaster. Enemies in the Swarm Disaster hit like a truck, especially the The Swarm - True Sting.
Preservation and Abundance Blessings provide you with shields and increased healing. Since Nihillity focuses on DoT damage, it is good to get some defensive Blessings to guarantee your party's safety.
The Path of Nihility increases DoT DMG dealt by all allies whenever you meet the conditions for the Custom Dice's passive effects. With this, it is important to understand how your chosen Custom Dice's passive effect works since it is different for every type!
Character | Explanation |
---|---|
Kafka | This Path is amazing for Kafka since Kafka's Skill already activates DoT. The Nihility Blessings just increase her DoT damage even more and allow her to trigger DoT more. |
Sampo | Sampo is a great pick when using the Path of Nihility since his kit revolves around him inflicting Wind Shear and applying DoT vulnerability using his Ultimate. |
Luka | Luka's kit goes well with Path of Nihility since Luka can inflict Bleed and his Ultimate can increase damage taken by enemies. |
Serval | Serval plays well with Path of Nihility since her kit focuses on her applying Shock and extending it using her Ultimate. Nihility Blessings increase her DoT damage and make them last longer. |
Overall, Path of Nihility is great for characters who apply DoT or status effects. The Path's buffs and Blessings can help them deal more damage through DoT, all while making it last longer and giving them more ways to trigger it.
