Help Minrathous

Get On Blighted Wings Quest

Fighting Seartooth

Upon choosing to help Minrathous, players will receive the On Blighted Wings Main Quest, where they will have to face off against the blighted fire-dragon Seartooth Vyrantus and make it flee from Minrathous.

Increase Approval with Neve, Lose Romantic Options with Lucanis

Lucanis Hardened

Given that Neve and her affiliated faction, the Shadow Dragons, are situated in Minrathous, helping the city will greatly increase her approval of Rook.

Meanwhile, relations with Lucanis will sour, as he won't be available as a companion for two main quests, and the option of romancing him will be gone.

Additionally, Lucanis will become hardened, making his offensive skills and abilities more potent at the cost of losing the ability to use supportive and healing skills on Rook.

Treviso and the Antivan Crows Blighted and Damaged

Lucanis Talking About Antivan Crows. mode:show

Without Rook's help, Treviso will become infested with blight and overrun with blighted enemies - permanently changing its landscape and appearance. Because of this, nearby fast-travel locations will be unavailable and need to be re-discovered.

The Antivan Crows will also lose 100 faction strength and its members will be afflicted with the blight, making players lose access to the faction's Merchant Vendor, making it harder to increase faction strength.

Help Treviso

Get On Deadly Wings Quest

Corius the Icetalon

Upon choosing to help Treviso, players will receive the On Deadly Wings Main Quest, whose format is similar to the On Blighted Wings quest. Main differences between the two quests are its location and the blighted ice-dragon boss, Corius the Ice Talon.

Increase Approval with Lucanis, Slow Down Romantic Progress with Neve

Neve Hardened Message

For the same reasons as Neve, Lucanis will also greatly increase their approval of Rook upon choosing to help Treviso.

However, Neve will also be unavailable as a companion for two main quests and will become hardened, sacrificing her support and healing skills for more offensive skill power. Despite this, she will still be open to flirting and romance, albeit with a slowed-down romantic progression.

Minrathous and the Shadow Dragons Blighted and Overtaken

Shadow Dragons Leader Viper Blighted

Minrathous' appearance will permanently change as the city gets infested with blight and sustains structural damage. Like damaged Treviso, players will lose access to local fast-travel points as they need to be re-discovered.

Venatori soldiers will also overrule the Shadow Dragons Faction, making their presence more common and making the Shadow Dragons faction lose 250 faction strength.

Players will also lose access to their merchant vendor as faction members, and even the Viper, the leader, will be afflicted with blight.

Should You Help Minrathous or Treviso?

Depends on Preferred Companion or Faction

Ultimately, the choice depends on which of the companions and factions players prefer. If players want to support the Shadow Dragons or romantically pursue Neve, then they should help Minrathous.

On the other hand, if players want to support the Antivan Crows or make Lucanis their romantic partner, then they should help Treviso.

When Does the Choice Appear?

Right After the A Warden's Best Friend Quest

The choice is prompted during a cutscene right after finishing the A Warden's Best Friend Quest main quest.
