Use Necrotic Damage

Betrayal of Felassan Weakness

Weakness Resistance
Necrotic Cold

Betrayal of Felassan is weak to Necrotic damage and resists Cold. It is advantageous to have either Emmrich or Lucanis in the party to exploit its weakness.

Equip Arainai's Talon

Arainai

Arainai's Talon grants a permanent Necrotic Weapons effect upon entering combat. Necrotic Weapons converts all weapon damage to Necrotic, allowing Rook to deal significantly higher damage with weapon attacks against the boss.

Parry to Stun the Boss

Dodge and Parry Signal Prompts

Parrying any of Betrayal of Felassan's attacks stuns it for a brief duration, allowing abilities and attacks to hit without fail. Watch out for a yellow marker above Rook's head to determine if an attack can be parried or not.

Combat Guide

Use Ranged Attacks to Disrupt the Ritual

Upon reaching 80% health and 40% health, the boss will teleport below the Fade tear and protect itself with a barrier. Use ranged attacks to deplete the barrier quickly and disrupt the ritual.

Defeat the Undead Warriors and Mages First

Defeat the Undead Warriors and Mages First

During the ritual at 80% health, Undead Warriors will appear in the battlefield and assist Felassan. Defeat the warriors first as they will not despawn by themselves.

At 40% health, the boss will start the ritual again, summoning Undead Mages in the arena. The battle will end up in a chaotic state if the Undead Warriors were not defeated beforehand.

Betrayal of Felassan Moveset








Projectile Attack

Shoots a skull-shaped projectile that can inflict Chilled. The projectile has weak homing and can be parried.

Sweep Attack

A sweeping attack with its spear, from its right side reaching left. The attack can be parried, but can be mistaken for its Clockwise Swing.

Clockwise Swing

Spins clockwise before swinging its spear in a wide sweep. Cannot be parried.

Triple Thrust

Thrusts three consecutive times with its spear. Parrying the attack early will cancel further thrusts.

Lunge

Runs towards the target, jumps, and lunges with its spear. Cannot be parried, but will leave its back open when dodged.

Kick

Charges ahead before driving a kick towards the target. Cannot be parried, and will inflict knock down when it hits.

Shield Bash

Lifts shield and swings at the target. Has a quicker version where it swings its shield in a left hook. Both versions can be parried.

Shield Projectile

Readies its shield infront, and continuously fire projectiles with a large AoE. Deals minimal damage, but each projectile will cause cause knockback and cannot be parried.

Slam Attack

Jumps in a twirling motion before driving its spear into the ground. Has a large radius, cannot be parried, and has a high chance of inflicting Chilled.

Betrayal of Felassan is encountered in the Crossroads during the Gate of Deep Sorrows side quest. Defeat Desmal, Bloodbound to Elgar'nan in Treviso to acquire its Champion Essence. The essence is then used to unlock the gate in Converged City in the Crossroads that leads to Betrayal of Felassan.
