Runes are items you can equip in your build that give you an Active and Passive Bonus. Active Bonuses can be triggered while Passive Bonuses will add to your stats, allowing you to gain the upper hand in combat encounters.
You can equip the Rune you have in the Lyrium Dagger. You can equip up to three runes on your character.
To trigger the Active Bonus of runes you must press on the correct buttons for it. For PlayStation consoles, the buttons will be the L2 and the Triangle.
To cycle through the four runes when you want to use them you can use the Arrow Buttons for Up, Down, Left, and Right.
You can buy Runes from shops throughout the land! Each rune costs gold and a specific material. The runes can be bought in the shop's accessory category.
You can also get Runes while exploring the world or by opening chests!
