Seartooth Vyrantus and Corius the Icetalon are potentially one of the first high dragons the player will encounter in the game. Depending on the city they choose to save, they will encounter either Corius or Vyrantus at the end of its events.
If players choose to help Minrathous, they will encounter Seartooth Vyrantus; saving Treviso would lead to a fight with Corius the Icetalon instead.
Should You Help Minrathous or Treviso for the Best Ending?
After choosing a city to save, the players will encounter a fight with both dragons during the Fire and Ice main quest. During the fight, the faction saved by Rook will arrive in the scene to aid in defeating the pair of blighted dragons and drive out Ghilan'nain.
The Fangscorcher can be encountered in the Burnt Village during the events of the Slay the Fangscorcher companion quest. The quest opens after the Secrets of the Qunari in Taash's questline.
Slaying the Fangscorcher Quest Guide
After completing the Slay of the Fangscorcher quest, a note in Taash's room in the Lighthouse can be opened to trigger the Kataranda the Stormrider side quest. The quest will have Rook and the party locate Kataranda's treasure in Rivain Coast that leads to a confrontation with her in Dragon Beach.

Kaltenzahn will be the final dragon to encounter in Taash's questline, during the events of her companion quest Lair of the Dragon King. Defeating the dragon will end the quest, and lead to a major choice about Taash's identity as a Rivaini or Qun.
Should Taash Embrace Rivaini Culture or Qunari Heritage?
At the end of the Heart of Corruption quest lies a battle against the Revenant Dragon. The quest requires collecting three Champion's essences in Treviso, Arlathan Forest, and Hossberg Wetlands to unlock a blighted gate in the Crossroads that leads to a fight with a Revenant. Defeating all three Revenants and claiming their essences will unseal the pathway towards the Revenant Dragon.
The Heart of Corruption Quest Guide
The end of the Pinnacle of Its Kind quest starts with a fight against The Formless One. The quest opens after clearing the Restless Spirits quest in Necropolis Halls, and will task Rook to hunt down demons across Thedas before fighting the High Dragon.
Pinnacle of Its Kind Walkthrough
Sucecessfully convincing Mythal will count as conquering a High Dragon, as she has a dragon form the players can fight. Failing to convince her or selecting the option to fight her will lead to a confrontation with her High Dragon form, Mythal's Retribution.
After convincing Mythal in the Regrets of the Dread Wolf quest, she can assist Rook and the party when fighting against the Revenant Dragon during the Heart of Corruption.
How to Convince Mythal: All Mythal Answers
High Dragons have a weak point indicated by a purplish-pink glow that constantly shifts around in the fight. It may show on its front legs, hind legs, or on its head, and often appears when an attack related to the weak spot will occur.
When a dragon takes starts to take off, its hind legs tend to contain the weak spot, and will allow a small window of dealing damage before taking flight and rendering itself untargetable.
Successfully filling a dragon's stagger bar will not make them susceptible to a takedown, but will instead knock them down and leave them vulnerable to attacks. When staggered, a weakpoint will appear in the dragon's heart and will take significantly higher damage from attacks.
High Dragons often offer the most challenging fights in the whole franchise regardless of the difficulty set. High Dragons mainly appear as bosses in side quests, often the climactic boss fight in a long questline.
