Romance Guide and All Romance Options
In terms of combat, not all companions were created equally. There are certain companions who can fit on multiple teams and can function well with any Rook class and specialization without any drawbacks.
Best Companions Tier List
You cannot control companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard but you can command them to prioritize attacking a certain target and even choose which companion skills to activate.
This allows an onslaught of ability combos via casting Primer skills and following up with a proper Detonate, enabling a burst of damage to enemies in battle.
There are multiple ways to switch companions. However, the best way is to interact with a Beacon or the fast travel point in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
