Reaper Warrior Best Skills Build

Early Game Skills (Level 1 to 20)

Skill 1 Skill 2 Skill 3 Ultimate
Driving Kick Titan Stomp Bloody Advance Flashing Fists

Skill enchantments are unlocked with Caretaker Workshop Rank 5. We do not consider Shop Rank 5 to be an early-game facility as the upgrade cost is too much.

As part of the early game, Driving Kick and Flashing Fists are available right from the start, so taking them is a given here.

Titan Stomp is a free-use ability that requires no rage and can provide a decent amount of crowd control, while Bloody Advance becomes your bread-and-butter damaging ability until you access more of the Reaper Skill Tree.

Reaper Warrior Best Weapon Builds

Early Game Weapons (Level 1 to 20)

Slot Weapon Enchantments
Main Dark Shard +10% Weapon Damage
Off-Hand Flying Kite +10% Weapon Damage
Alt. Weapon Anvil Breaker +25% Stagger

While it normally does not matter what weapons you use early, Dark Shard provides Necrotic Damage, making it an optimal weapon for the Reaper as you will be stacking Necrotic Damage buffs.

The Flying Kite has bonus ranged damage which works well with Reaper's shield tosses, and the Anvil Breaker works as a tool for staggering heavy opponents to make it easier to combo them after.

Reaper Warrior Best Equipment Builds

Early Game Equipment (Level 1 to 20)

Slot Equipment Enchantments
Helmet Carastes Double-Hat +20% Resistance (Any)
Armor Brawler’s Decorated Leathers +20% Resistance (Any)
Belt Reinforced Binding Belts can't be enchanted
Amulet Grey Emblem +15% Critical Damage
Ring 1 Biting Thumb +25% Rage Generation
Ring 2 Precious Decay +25% Rage Generation

Most of the equipment here provides a mix of Rage Generation and overall damage buffs, especially with higher equipment rarities. Precious Decay in particular is tailor-made for the Reaper as it directly buffs Necrotic Damage.

One thing to note is that the accessories are mostly slotting into Rage Generation due to Reaper's lack of Rage Generation buffs everywhere else.

Reaper Warrior Best Rune Builds

Early Game Runes (Level 1 to 20)

Rune Description
Besiege • Probably the best rune to slot in the early game.
• Bypasses Barrier attack damage penalty altogether, making sure you are breaking it the fastest way possible.
• Use this if enemies have the blue barrier meter up.
Ravage • A straight up damage boost against enemies.
• Deals +50% damage when the enemies are reduced to their red health.
• Great for finishing off enemies.
Upend • Gives you additional bonuses to damage that scales with how much defensive stats you originally had.
• Good as an early-game glass cannon option once you stagger an opponent.

While Reaper does not have any particular tailor-made runes in the early game, these runes ensure that the Warrior gets offensive buffs to their damage.

These should be used when Rook gains a damage window where the enemy is crowd controlled to take advantage of the full duration of the active runes.

Reaper Warrior Best Companion Builds

For this build, we suggest bringing Bellara and Lucanis as a primer and detonator for Sundered, with Bellara being able to apply Weakened and Lucanis able to detonate Overwhelm.

Rook's Driving Kick and Titan Stomp synergize with these two due to Driving Kick detonating Weakened and Titan Stomp priming Overwhelm.

Bellara Build

Early Game Equipment Builds

Skills
1
Dragon Age The Veilguard - Fade Bolts Fade Bolts
2
Dragon Age The Veilguard - Replenish (Bellara) Replenish (Bellara)
3
Dragon Age The Veilguard - Enfeebling Shot Enfeebling Shot
Equipment
Main Storm
Armor Utility Dress

Bellara packs both Fade Bolts and Enfeebling Shot here due to the team's full synergy to trigger three different detonations, packing Replenish as a just-in-case healing tool for Rook if they run out of Healing options mid-fight.

Lucanis Build

Early Game Equipment Builds

Skills
1
Dragon Age The Veilguard - Debilitate Debilitate
2
Dragon Age The Veilguard - Eviscerate Eviscerate
3
Dragon Age The Veilguard - Soothing Potion (Lucanis) Soothing Potion (Lucanis)
Equipment
Main Slender Dagger
Off-Hand Rialto
Armor Covert Leathers

Equip Lucanis with both Debilitate and Eviscerate to take advantage of both Sunder and Overwhelm, bringing Soothing Potion along as a sustain option for Rook.

How to Play the Reaper

Reaper's main advantages are their Necrotic and Ranged poke options against opponents, while having access to the typical all-in Warrior skills.

Poke them out from afar with Shield Tosses and detonations before coming in with a large amount of rage and using your skills to damage, prime, and detonate.

Open with Companion Sunder

When starting out a fight, open with a Sunder combo against a key target, then run in and use Titan Stomp to deal a generous amount of Burst Damage.

This can often clear out fodder opponents while keeping Rook relatively safe as he only needs to move in once Sunder has taken effect, along with Titan Stomp's innate crowd control potential with the impact.

Abuse Shield Tosses

With both Improved and Master Throw, Rook has a decent way to deal damage and charge Rage from a safe distance, giving their all-in combos more potency once enemy shields and armor have been chipped off.

If you are lacking rage, need to recharge, or even just reset the tempo of a fight, consider stepping back and spamming down the enemies with Shield Tosses before going in and finishing them off.

Cycle Between Sunder, Weaken, and Overwhelm

While the Reaper is already formidable with their combos, this particular team has access to three different combos, allowing them to cycle between different effects.

As much as possible, combo with your companions as the enhanced damage of the detonations combined with the Reaper's damage options can completely shred opponents.
