The best specialization for the Mage class in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. See the best specialization for the Mage and how to play it!
List of Contents
The Spellblade is the best specialization for Mages in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The specialization offers the most versatility and power that can melt any enemies you face in the game. It is also not very reliant on Mana, so it's one less thing to manage in fights. The Arcane Bomb mechanic is amazing especially when you unlock the Spirit Blade skill.
It is definitely the Knight-Enchanter's distant cousin and has somewhat carried over some of its power in Veilguard.

Spellblades make use of enchanted daggers and stacking magical bombs on enemies to deal huge damage. Spellblades also do not rely on mana that much, and they can easily recover Mana by attacking. They are also experts in handling hordes of enemies and single-target bosses all the same.
The only thing that you need to master as a Spellblade is parrying. Though it is unusual for a Mage, parrying while being a Spellblade can effectively give you free attacks that can stack Arcane Marks really quickly.
Spellblade Build and Best Skills
The Death Caller is one of the two traditional caster specializations for the Mage class. What makes Death Callers more effective than Evokers is their access to Channeled Thoughts, enabling them to quickly regenerate Mana. This quick regeneration results in their capability to spam their best move, Corrupted Ground, to deal insane Necrotic damage in a big AoE.
Death Caller Build and Best Skills
The Evoker is the second of the two traditional casters for the Mage class. They are what you can say as the elemental mages of the group.
Evokers are experts on casting spells and crowd control, and at the same time need high amounts of Mana to be able to cast these skills. This entails players managing their Mana usage properly, and if there is none you will be delegated to just auto-attacking.
