Best Romance Ranked in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

7. Romance Lucanis

Lucanis

Lucanis is our least favorite romance option because he is the only companion whose romance will be unavailable due to a choice during the campaign. Romancing Lucanis means you have to save Treviso instead of Minrathous after A Warden's Best Friend.

However, Lucanis is a great character and if you still want to romance him, you will experience a vulnerable type of romance as Rook tries to strip his veil of broodiness.

6. Romance Neve

Neve

Neve is a well-made character and her romance storyline portrays a relationship built around partnership and trust. Neve's romance feels a bit limited and flirting does not happen often in her companion quests.

5. Romance Taash

Taash

Taash is a dominant Qunari Dragon Hunter and their romance storyline is pretty straightforward but engaging as they assert dominance over Rook which leads to spicy moments.

4. Romance Bellara

Bellara

If you want to experience a light and feel-good type of romance, then we recommend pursuing Bellara as her inexperience with romantic relationships leads to adorable moments during her companion quests.

3. Romance Harding

Harding
Harding is a fan-favorite character who appeared in Dragon Age: Inquisition. She is definitely the best romance option for players who have waited several years to finally romance Harding.

Harding's romance route is pretty wholesome since she is always open to sharing his feelings with Rook. It often leads to cute moments with Harding when Rook flirts with her.

2. Romance Davrin

Davrin

Davrin's romance storyline is a wild ride due to it being thrilling and intense as Davrin often flirts back whenever Rook flirts with him.

So, if you want to experience a direct and intimate type of romance, then Davrin is the best choice for you. Plus, you will have more time to spend with Assan, Davrin's griffon companion.

1. Romance Emmrich

Emmrich

Emmrich's questline offers a more sensual romance between him and Rook, with a lot of deep discussions about life and death scattered in his questline. He flirts back when a romance dialogue is prompted, allowing players to be on the receiving end of the stick instead of being stuck in the giver role.

He opens up about his views and fears, giving you a better understanding of him as a person, and is not afraid to show vulnerability when spending time with Rook.

I haven't done the Neve romance yet, but I gotta admit that seems really cute lol

Yeah, I kinda agree with a lot of these, I personally my favorite is Harding though, even as a new player (Veil guard was my first game from the series) I liked her arc and personality the best. She was the first one I met, so I kept her on most missions and then found out later you could date her, so I just kinda went with it and I loved the "drunk" part. I am kinda new to the series though still, so maybe some of them have like a backstory idk about
