Rogues rely on speed and agility to employ a hyper-aggressive attack on enemies. Rogues can deal high amounts of damage while actively dodging and parrying out of harms way.
Rogues cannot hold block, and will have to position themselves properly and have successful parry and dodge timings to build Momentum and unleash devastating counter-attacks.
If you want to zip through the battlefield with deadly precision and attack without getting hit back, the Rogue class is for you.
Momentum is the Rogue's class resource and is used to activate your abilities. The Momentum meter builds when you succesfully dodge or parry enemy attacks.
The Rogue uses a pair of dual-wielded swords for an array of quick melee attacks together with a bow and arrow as a ranged option.
Unlike the Warrior and the Mage, the Rogue does not have to hard swap between the dual swords and the bow in combat. Swords are the default weapon while the bow can be drawn by pressing the ranged attack trigger (R2 or RT by default).
For melee fighters, the swords are your main weapon. These are prioritized when playing an up-close and personal type of fighter. These have an array of quick attack combos that slash away at enemies.
For dealing damage from range, the bow and arrow is an excellent choice. You can shoot a quick shot by quickly tapping the ranged attack button, or charge up a shot by holding it and letting go to shoot.
Rogues sport medium armors that give a solid amount of defense for times you may get hit. Different armors can also give beneficial buffs to your rogue. However, as a rogue you should prioritize good positioning and not getting hit

Specializations are unique sub-classes that are unlockable at level 20. Each specialization unlocks a new skill tree for your Rogue, with unique skills to choose from depending on your build.
Duelists prefer to fight up-close with their dual-wielded blades, attacking with relentless ferocity at their enemies. Duelist abilities focus on dealing melee and necrotic damage, and getting in and out of harm's way.
The Duelist specialization is the best choice for a melee focused rogue build and being the main damage dealer of the party.
Saboteurs use all sorts of traps, contraptions, and tools to disrupt enemies' footing, weakening them and dealing damage. Saboteur abilities focus on dealing physical damage, applying status effects, and crowd control.
The Saboteur specialization can get creative with the wide array of tools at your disposal to command the battlefield.
Favoring to fight at range, Veil Rangers use their mastery of the bow and throwable weapons to dispatch enemies from afar. Veil Ranger abilities focus on dealing electricity damage and shock status effects, together with hitting precise shots.
The Veil Ranger specialization is the best choice for a ranged build, needing precise aim and positioning to be effective.
