Duelist | Veil Ranger | Saboteur |
The Duelist Build is the strongest Rogue build while being the simplest to play. They have consistent damage and are easier to maneuver since they don't have to use the bow as much.
Check out our Tier List for the best specializations you can use for the Rogue class!
Best Classes and Specialization Tier List
Your skill priority really depends on what Specialization you want, but we've listed down the best skills for each section of the Rogue skill tree.
The best faction of origin for the Rogue is the Veil Jumpers. This ensures that you are dishing out extra critical and weak point damage, something Rogues would usually strive for.
Veil Jumpers Faction Bonuses Guide
Like the other classes, Rogues can choose one of three Specializations, but only one Specialization can be activated at a time. Fortunately, you can refund your skill points and respec at any point in the game!
The Duelist is a specialization of the Rogue that focuses more on dishing out a barrage of melee attacks from the Rogue's dual swords. You will mostly operate in melee distance, so hitting your Dodges and Parries perfectly is the best approach here!
The main weapon for this specialization is the two swords wielded with each hand. Duelists can also use Bows, but at a lower frequency than the blades.
Saboteurs focus on using explosive tools and contraptions to both control the battlefield and deal damage. Think of it like the caster-like specialization of the Rogue, relying more on skills than the Rogue's actual weapons.
The Saboteur will mostly use the shortbow while they throw out their tools to deal damage. This enables them to properly set up their contraptions without dealing with enemies on their faces.

Lastly, the Veil Ranger is the specialization that focuses on pin-point, long-ranged attacks. They operate from backlines and should not let anything go near them at all costs.
As the complete opposite of the Duelist, the Veil Ranger uses the longbow more frequently. They can use the swords to deal with enemies that get close but only if in a pinch.
Veil Ranger Build and Best Skills
Rogues are known to be extremely agile and mobile, which they usually exploit to give them the edge in battle. They are not known to be tanky so they cannot fight enemies head-on, but they compensate for this by being quick on their feet and the ability to parry attacks.
Considering Rogues do not have that many defensive options, they should focus on parrying and dodging attacks so they don't get hit. This is also for the purpose of building Momentum, the Rogues' resource for using skills along with other bonuses from the Rogue Skill Tree.
Rogues use a resource called Momentum to use skills. Momentum is charged by triggering a perfect dodge or perfect parry, so being able to time these defensive options is the key to success as a Rogue.
Unlike the Mage and Warrior, Rogues cannot freely switch their main and alternate weapons with a press of a button. Instead, Rogues have Bows in the alternate weapon slot and can only be wielded using the ranged attack button.
