Ravage or Breakthrough is an enemy state in Chaos Zero Nightmare (CZN) that activates when the enemy's tenacity bar is fully depleted, providing 1 AP and reducing stress for the attacker. See what Ravage means, how it works, and how to activate it here!

An enemy becomes ravaged after you deplete its tenacity bar, located below the health bar. Ravaged enemies will stay in that state for a turn and regain back to full tenacity bar next turn.

The character that dealt the last damage before the enemy goes to the ravage state will gain 1 AP for the party and reduce their stress depending on the amount of damage dealt.

When the enemy is in the ravage state, cards and effects such as Mei Lin's Embers will trigger beneficial effects such as increased damage. Equipments with ravage conditions such as Blood Giant Claw will also activate.

In the game, Ravage is also called Breakthrough, Break, or Downed. Mei Lin is a prime example of this, where most of her cards have these terms, but they all work the same.
Ravage can be activated after using an attack card to reduce the last remaining tenacity an enemy has. If an enemy has the same attribute as the card each attack will deal 1 full bar of tenacity making it easier to ravage an enemy.
Tenacity bar will not reduce from extra attacks and counter attacks therefore characters such as Veronica or Magna cannot activate ravage despite dealing damage with the exception of Mark which deals tenacity damage based on the cost of the card.
