+Atk/-Def

The best IVs for Valentine's Lilina are +Atk and -Def. She relies on single-hit attacks to deal damage so getting a +Atk IV makes the most sense as she is mainly an offensive unit. Additionally, this IV fits in many builds whether you are going for her default weapon or if you plan to get either a Blade tome or a Raven tome. Check out the builds section to learn more. For her bane, her Def is very low and she is not built to take physical attacks to begin with so it is safe to take as a bane.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Valentine's Lilina to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. At this point, she can take out lots of units in one hit. If you prefer increasing her Atk through allied buffs, you can go for a +Spd IV instead.

How to Use, Explanation

A Blade tome set for Lilina that also integrates Fury-Desperation. Fury sets Desperation for consecutive attacks. If her Blade tome is set properly with buffs, Lilina will hit hard twice if they score the follow-up attack under Desperation range! but it can be a very effective build. Feel free to swap out Hone Cavalry if you are not running Lilina in a cavalry team. A good choice would be Joint Hone Atk.

How to Use, Explanation

Valentine's Lilina is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Valentine's Lilina Strengths

Very unique attribute combination: Green tome cavalry unit

Valentine's Lilina is a rare green tome cavalry unit. Because there are few units like her, this allows her to fill-in very specific niches that make her valuable in lineups. One such niche is running a Gronnblade+ build. Having a high-power ranged weapon on a high-mobility unit is a fun, but very effective strategy.

Because of her high range and superior mobility, she can take out lots of enemy units before they can get to your important units. Make sure to invest in her to make her more efficient in his chosen niches!

Neutralizes Ranged Foes' Bonuses

Green Gift+ neutralizes the foe's bonuses if they are ranged units. This gives Lilina an edge against lineups that run lots of buffs and lots of ranged units. However, it doesn't disable bonuses that activate when foe initates or enters combat. Be sure that you are aware of the kinds of buffs that the opposing team are running!

Blazing Flame deals heavy damage to multiple foes

Valentine's Lilina's default special Blazing Flame deals damage to multiple enemies near the target before combat. Weakening your opponent before going into combat is a useful tactic, but if the foe has Vantage, this special may cause it to trigger during battle, so make sure to note which skills your opponent has. A lot of strategy can be put into using Lilina's Blazing Flame. You will be surprised at its true potential when used correctly.

Wide range buff

Atk Tactic 3 grants +6 Atk to allies within 2 spaces if the number of the ally's movement type in the team is ≤ 2. This makes Valentine's Lilina a good unit in mixed teams. such as the example above that features 2 flying units and 2 infantry units. In this case, Legault possesses the Atk Tactic 3 and he is able to buff all of his allies because he is positioned right and the team composition qualifies for the trigger conditions.

Valentine's Lilina Weaknesses

Low Def

Valentine's Lilina's Def only sits at 20 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for physical units to take her out. Be mindful of Lilina's positioning in relation to physical units that can easily take her out. Use her supreme mobility and range to position her well.

Weak to Cavalry Effective Weapons

Valentine's Lilina takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
