The best IVs for Sage Ursula are +Spd and -Def. Her base Spd is the highest in the game as of her time of release at base 46, and the 【Desperation】 status allows her to attack consecutively if she can make a follow-up attack.

Her Def is a clear dump stat at only base 16 and should be taken as a bane.

Sage Ursula is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Sage Ursula Strengths

Crow's Crystal ignores terrain penalties, grants Desperation, Dominance, stat bonuses, and half Null Follow-Up

Sage Ursula's exclusive weapon Crow's Crystal accelerates Special trigger and ignores terrain penalties like all the other weapons for the heroes on her debut banner.

It also grants Sage Ursula 【Desperation】 and 【Dominance】 at the start of each turn, Atk/Spd+6 during combat, and the offensive half of Null Follow-Up which neutralizes effects that prevents her follow-up attacks.

The Desperation and half-NFU effects work very well together, allowing Sage Ursula to attack consecutively before her foe can counterattack. Dominance increases her damage dealt through the penalties applied by her Chill Spd/Res 3, her Panic Smoke 4, and any other sources that her allies have.

Sage Ursula Weaknesses

Crow's Crystal relies on an HP check

Crow's Crystal has many powerful effects, but they are all reliant on Sage Ursula having HP ≥ 25%.

While this is a simple condition to meet, her bulk isn't noteworthy, and she can be brought down below the threshold after one attack.

If Sage Ursula fails to knock out her target with her initiation, or if she isn't attacking first, she will be prone to getting knocked out by most enemies.

Weak to Cavalry Effective Weapons

Sage Ursula takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
