Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Picnic Leo will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Atk/-Spd

The best IVs for Picnic Leo are +Atk and -Spd. Picnic Leo is best built as an enemy phase unit that scores follow-up attacks through Quick Riposte 3. A +Atk IV maximizes the damage he deals with both attacks. Because Quick Riposte 3 guarantees follow-up attacks for him, Spd can be safely taken as the bane. Spd is also the only stat that is not a superbane so get it as much as possible.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Picnic Leo to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. It maximizes the damage he deals through his attacks. You can also go for a +Def or +Res IV depending on your needs for a more defensive build. Do not forget that through Trait Fruits, you can now freely switch from IV to IV.

Picnic Leo is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Picnic Leo Strengths

Atk/Res buff when attacked

Sandwiches!+ grants Picnic Leo +4 Atk/Res in combat if he is attacked by the enemy. This skill combined with his other skills that will be discussed turns him into a great enemy phase unit that specializes in matching up with magic units. Though he can also deal with ranged physical units pretty fairly!

Strong Against Ranged Attacks

Distant Def 3 grants Picnic Leo +6 Def/Res in combat if he is attacked by ranged foes. This means that he is a good match-up against foes who use daggers, bows, tomes and staves.

This completely stacks with the Atk/Res bonuses of Sandwiches!.

Solid Enemy Phase Capabilities with Quick Riposte

Picnic Leo has access to Quick Riposte 3 which means as long as he is at 70% HP or above, he will score a follow-up attack when attacked in the enemy phase. This means he has means of scoring follow-up attacks on both phases.

This completely stacks and synergizes very well with the effect of Sandwiches!+ and Distand Def 3 making him a very solid enemy phase unit.
