Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd/-HP

The best IVs for Valentine's Mist are +Spd and -HP. A higher Spd stat allows Valentine's Mist to get a ton of follow-up attacks on her foes. It also protects her from hostile follow-up attacks. Additionally, her HP is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane.

One may think that Def is the best bane as she is not really built to tank physical hits to begin with. However, this stat is a superbane so it will cripple her greatly. Even an attack from a relatively weak physical unit can take her out. Go with the HP bane instead!

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Valentine's Mist to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. At max merges, she will reach 41 Spd which is not bad especially when backed by Spd buffs from allies.

How to Use, Explanation

A Blade tome set for Mist that also integrates Fury-Desperation. Fury sets Desperation for consecutive attacks. If her Blade tome is set properly with buffs, Mist will hit hard twice if they score the follow-up attack under Desperation range! It requires some setup, but it can be a very effective build.

Valentine's Mist is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Valentine's Mist Strengths

Gronnblooms+ grants all-stat buff

Valentine's Mist's weapon, Gronblooms+, has the simple effect of granting her +3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res to her during combat if she is adjacent to an ally. Despite the pretty simple trigger condition, the buff is pretty good. Make sure to fight adjacent an ally as much as possible.

Because of her cavalry movement, it is fairly easy to initiate an attack while being adjacent to an ally. This stacks both Gronnblooms+ and Swift Sparrow 2 granting Mist +7 Atk/Spd +3 Def/Res.

Powerful high-SP assist skill in Rally Def/Res+

Valentine's Mist has a great assist skill in Rally Def/Res+. Primarily, it is a Def/Res buff that can be used on your allies to boost their Def/Res by +6. It interacts with Mist's Res Feint 3 to inflict a -7 Res on enemies. These buffs and the -Res debuff can easily be exploited by a Blade tome unit like Tharja so it can be said that even base kit Mist is already powerful ally to pair Blade tome units with.

It is also a high-SP skill so it can be definitely used to increase your score in the Arena.

Very useful for building other green tome units

Valentine's Mist's C skill G Tome Valor will allow all green tome users on the same party to gain 2x SP. This will make building your other green tome units and learning their skills extremely quick and painless. If done on the weekends where a 2x SP multiplier is already in effect, or when a unit is receiving some kind of 2x bonus from an event or blessing, these bonuses stack, which will allow green tome users to gain a ton of SP in no time.

Valentine's Mist takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
