This is a guide to completing Gengar the Prankster, a request in New Pokemon Snap (Pokemon Snap 2) for the Nintendo Switch. Here you can find what kind of photo you need, and how to take it, in order to clear Gengar the Prankster, as well as the reward!

Cave Walkthrough: List of Pokemon and How to Unlock
Immediately below the entrance to the second area, there will be a sleeping Croagunk across a Gengar portal. Throw an Illumina orb at Gengar's portal for Gengar to come out.
Once Gengar is out, the way to lure him to the sleeping Croagunk is by throwing an Illumina orb at Croagunk. Make sure to throw the Illumina orb at Croagunk right after Gengar exits the portal. If you wait too long to throw the Illumina orb at Croagunk, Gengar will just leave the area.
After succesfully completing the two steps, Gengar will walk over to the sleeping Croagunk and rudely awaken it. Snap a photo of Gengar doing his silly prank.
There are no obtainable rewards for completing this request.

So in the Cave level, you exit out of the initial area, then below you and to the left is a Gengar portal. On the same platform is a sleeping Croagunk. Throw an illumina ball at the portal to draw the Gengar out. Now keep Croagunk illumminated with illumina balls so the Gengar sees it. The Gengar will walk over and frighten the Croagunk, snap this shot and you're done!
