Might Be Better To Save Your Diamonds

If you plan on using Summer Cordie on your team, you might find yourself feeling underwhelmed as she does not provide much value to your team other than being a good counter to units that like to evade attacks, like Nina and Dian. While her Blooming Thunder skill reduces the chances of her teammate with the highest ATK missing, it also reduces the chances that targeted ally dodges attacks.

Other than her ability to make her carry more accurate, Summer Cordie does not bring much more to the table. Her value as a secondary attacker leaves much to be desired, given her low damage. Her DEF and M. DEF buffs along with her heals are nice to have, but still fail to significantly impact the match. There are surely better witches that can offer more for your team.

She Works Well Even at One Merge

If you want to bring Summer Cordie along just to be able to deal with evasion units better, she'll do just fine at just her base SR rarity. Even without awakening, Summer Cordie will help your carry/carries land more attacks against evasive opponents.

Pull If You Want An Arcana For Your Regular Cordie

Arguably the biggest upside for pulling for Summer Cordie is how she shares an Arcana with regular Cordie. What makes this an excellent Arcana is how this provides them (or all your witches if you get them to LR) with an ATK buff and a massive CRIT increase. Given how regular Cordie is already one of the strongest units in the game, getting her buffs to two of her most important attributes elevates her even further.

If Cordie is a mainstay among your teams, look to increase her offensive prowess even more with the Arcana she shares with Summer Cordie. Aim to awaken Summer Cordie to at least UR to get a good return on your investment, which will require 4 copies of Summer Cordie in total.

As mentioned above, Summer Cordie is far from being one of the best characters in the game. For whichever role you put her in (attacker or buffer), there's surely a witch that will benefit your team more through better and more impactful skills. Summer Cordie is a decent counterpick against strong units that dodge a lot, but she's not very useful outside that niche.

If Your Team Relies on Evasion

If your team relies on evasion for defense and survivability, you're likely better off without Summer Cordie. While she does make her attackers more accurate, she'll reduce their evasion by 25%, making them much more vulnerable to attacks.
