Releasing N characters can net you Kindling Orbs and character coins you can use at the Shop. Read on to find out whether or not you should release N characters automatically and how to do it.
List of Contents

The primary reason you should automatically release N characters is to get Kindling Orbs and Character Coins. Kindling Orbs are used to level up your witches, while Character Coins are used to buy shards from the Shop. Automatically releasing N characters can give you a slight boost in both these resources whenever you pull from one of the game's invocation banners.
If you need more witches for defense during Guild Battles, you can keep 1 of each N rarity character and then release the rest.

Another reason you should automatically release N characters is to free up space in your Character Roster. In MementoMori, space for your characters is limited, and more space can only be bought with diamonds. So, to avoid spending diamonds for space, consider automatically releasing N characters to keep your roster slots vacant.

Another reason you should release your N characters is that they're generally weaker than your R and SR characters since they only have two skill slots (as opposed to 3 skill slots for R characters and 4 skill slots for SR characters) and also have a relatively low-level cap (Lv. 100) compared to higher rarity characters.
You won't be using them as much compared to SR and even R characters, so it may be better to release them automatically as you get them.
