These are the best gear augments to prioritize to enhance your dark and holy equipment.
While upgrading all your gear is possible, it is recommended to focus on specific gear placements, augments, and stats to maximize the power of your gear's Holy/Dark Effects.
Increasing the Holy/Dark effects of your gear helps ensure you win battles with the increased effectiveness and additional benefits from the augmented gear.
- For body gear, focus on Dark equipment augment and DEF Break.
- For hands, focus on Holy equipment augment and Crit. DMG Boost.
- For weapons, focus on Holy equipment augment and ATK (%).

How to Augment Gear
Unlock Augments After Clearing Main Quest 6-20
The Augment function unlocks when you clear Main Quest 6-20. Each item augment costs 1000 Gold; 7000 for the whole 7 slots.

How to Augment Gear: Step-by-Step Guide
| 1 |  Go to your Character's Character Growth page and click a gear. |

| 2 |  Select Augment from the left-side buttons. |
| 3 |  Select a material for augmenting either by clicking the + or the Auto-Select. |
| 4 |  A window will pop out and you can choose your materials. The materials that can be selected is a Dark Perfume or Holy and Dark Gears. |
| 5 |  Select Augment afterwards. |
| 6 |  Your Gear is now augmented with Dark or Holy Effects. |
Raise Your Gear's Holy and Dark Levels
To get the most out of augmenting, increase your gear's Holy Level and Dark Level. To increase your gear's Holy Level and Dark Level, you can sacrifice other gear imbued with a holy level or dark level. Do note that gear with attached runes cannot be used as material.
While augmenting your gear, note that Holy and Dark effects create gears with additional Holy and Dark bonuses specific to the body part it's designed for. Additionally, a piece of gear may be augmented with both Holy and Dark Effects.
Get Dark Equipment Using Base Gears

If you have many base gears from the Main Quest or Guild Raid, you can use the Smelt All function to smelt these gear to give you the chance to get Dark Gear. This can help you increase your Dark level while you farm Dark Perfume.
Augment Dark for Body, Holy for Hands, and Holy for Weapons
Focus on augmenting Dark Equipment to the armor (body) to get the DEF Break stat. Augment holy equipment to the gloves (hands) to get Crit.DMG Boost. Finally, augment holy equipment to your weapon to increase ATK(%).
While you can augment both Dark and Holy equipment in 1 gear, it will be a waste of resources. So avoid making this mistake and streamline your augmentation investments.

Updated Augment Features
Auto-Select Feature (June 28, 2024)
Announced in the Version 2.17.0 Update, starting on June 28, 2024 an Auto-Select feature for Augmenting Gear will be implemented. This Auto-Select feature lets the computer simulate and automatically choose materials for augmenting Holy or Dark gear.
After clearing Main Quest 14-4, you will be able to automatically select either Dark or Holy materials exclusively to Dark or Holy Auto-select or use Set Holy/Dark Lv to automatically select materials based on the Holy or Dark Augmentation level you wish to reach.
