How to Pull for Characters
Pulling for characters in the MementoMori gacha banner may be overwhelming, especially if there are countless characters to choose from. Read on to know what to prioritize when pulling for characters and how to utilize your currencies.

How to Pull for Characters
Beginner Character Pull
When you have just started with the game, we recommend pulling for Cordie or Florence as your main attackers. They are standard SR characters for PvE content like the Main Quest. If you did not get them the first time, you can reroll your account until you get either.
You may get Cordie through the Cave of Space-Time Shop if you don't want to reroll your account (or that account is your alt).
Pull for Support Characters
You should pull for support characters like Merlyn, Primavera, Mimi, or Mertillier for PvE content. They can help you progress through the main quest. You will need 3-4 supports depending on whether you have Cordie/Florence, or both on your team.
Consider the utility of the characters you're pulling. Characters with unique abilities or those that can significantly impact your team's performance are worth pulling.
Soul Affinity
While this is the last thing to consider when pulling for a character, you may also need to utilize soul affinity benefits by matching characters with complementary affinities. This can give you an edge in PvE content like Tower of Souls.
PvP-Focused Pull
Players may decide to use their five main characters for PvP first. However, some characters' skill sets are created explicitly for PvP content. Do not pull every DPS you see in the banner. Make a conscious decision on who you want to prioritize and build a team around that DPS. For example, if you use Witch Illya as your DPS, prioritize pulling for support characters that will complement or synergize with Witch Illya.
Some characters, like Fia, are so strong that you shouldn't pass them up. Fia is good at PvE and PvP, so having her is necessary.
Best Characters Tier List (PvP)
Balance Your Team
Make sure to balance your team with a mix of DPS and support characters (may it be buffers or debuffers). This will help you handle various battle scenarios more effectively. Some may think that putting 5 DPS in a team may yield more damage, but that may backfire on you as each DPS has its own kit and conditions. You may have only 2 DPS, with one of them being a sub-DPS.
Late-Game Character Pull
When you reach the late game, you have already established which characters work well with your main team. You also knew who to use for your PvE and PvP content. At this time, you should be pulling to enhance your characters' stats.
Focus on Arcana
In the late game, prioritize pulling characters with strong Arcana, especially those with good level link value. Arcana with ATK, CRIT DMG Boost, or PM. DEF Break are particularly valuable even if they are not the characters you build for your team.
Long-Term Investment
Consider the long-term potential of characters. Some characters may require more investment but can become incredibly powerful with the right resources and upgrades.
Story and Personal Preference
If you're particularly fond of the character's memories or design, it might be worth pulling them even if they aren't the most optimal choice. Enjoying the game is essential, too.
