How to Do Gear Transfers Properly

1	Go to your character’s stat page and pick a Gear to transfer.
2	To the right of the page, Click the Transfer button.
3	Select the Gear that will inherit the features from the previous Gear. Click Transfer.
4	In this example, the Upgrade level, Holy and Dark level and EXP, and equipped Runes are transferred.
5	To return the Gear features back to the original Gear, select the inheritor as the transferor (in the example, it is Rean’s glove) and the original Gear as the inheritor (Cordie’s glove) and it will be returned with no problems.

Use the Gear Transfer function to transfer your weapon augments (Holy and Dark level) to a lower-level gear so you don’t have to build another character up. Gear Transfer function can help players manage their resources better but still level up on Tower of Infinity or the Elemental tower trials.

Reasons for Feature not to be Transferred

There are several reasons for transferable features not to be transferred.

If the inheritor (receiver) ’s upgraded values are higher than the transferor’s (giver), the upgraded values will not be transferred.
If the transferor’s Upgrade level is higher than the inheritor’s, the upgrade level will not be transferred. A piece of Gear’s upgrade level cannot exceed its Gear level.
Runes will not be transferred if the number of rune slots is the same. The upgraded values of runes are transferred together with the number of rune slots.

A piece of Gear’s upgraded value will not be transferred in part. Additionally, the upgraded values of the transferor and the inheritor will not be added together. Transferring features to a piece of Gear will always be done by replacing one value with another.

What are Gear Transfers For?

Gear Transfers are primarily used to swap enhancements, augments, and runes between your team’s gears without wasting your resources.

Think of Gear Transfers as swapping upgrades, not merging. Gear Transfers can be good if you have dedicated gear sets for PvP and PvE. You can also use gear sets to push for Elemental towers when you don’t have enough Gear for every character.

Say you have a good gear set for Cordie or Florence but not for Amber or Crimson Souls. With Gear transfers, you can transfer Cordie’s gear features to a lower gear and use it to Mimi or Rean to beat Amber or Crimson towers. Gear transfers allow you to easily swap the upgrades between pieces of Gear without spending resources.

Use specific characters for optimal performance for each tower. Consider transferring runes and Gear to the characters below for better tower performance.
