Overcoming level cap

The characters go through several level caps before reaching their initial maximum level cap, level 240. Learn more about each level cap and what to do to progress beyond that.

Get a Copy of Your Main Carry

We recommend to aim for either Cordie or a Florence on your reroll. They start as SR characters and level up using EXP and Kindling orbs from the AFK Reward System and Main Quest progression. The initial level cap is 100; at this point, you need a duplicate of your SR main attacker to awaken her to SR+.

If you obtain Cordie, you can get another copy once you unlock the Cave of Space-Time. Participating in this trial regularly allows you to accumulate the 120,000 Space-Time Coins needed to buy a Cordie copy from the Space-Time shop.

If you didn't get Cordie or Florence during your reroll (or found rerolling too tedious), you can still raise your chosen attacker to SR+ by using Witch Shards or Gacha Tickets from The Prayer of The Cursed or Prayer of Souls banners. Note that obtaining duplicates this way is random.

Start Doing Start Dash Missions

Complete the Start Dash Mission to get two copies of Soltina, who can support your Cordie and/or Florence.

The Start Dash Mission takes 7 days to complete and provides a good game overview. By the end of these missions, you should have enough shards or tickets to pull for needed characters, reached level 120, and completed Main Quest Chapter 9.

If you haven't reached this ideal setup, don't worry. Keep doing your daily tasks and participating in trials to earn rewards and collect more shards so your characters can overcome the level cap.

Regularly Do Your Dailies and Trials

Level up your main attacker until she reaches level 100 steadily. You can do this by doing your dailies, such as doing daily and weekly missions, progressing through the Main Quest, and challenging trials. Doing so will help maximize your Kindling, EXP Orbs, and Diamonds income. The Kindling and EXP Orbs help level up your characters while you get copies or other upgrade materials with Diamonds.

If you got lucky and got your SR to awaken to SR+ before you reach level 100, you can continue leveling them up to level 120.

CheckmarkUse Fodders to Awaken Character

Once you get your chosen character to SR+, your character level cap increases to level 120. You can continue farming for EXP and Kindling Orbs to level up your characters and progress through the Main Quest.

Once you reach level 120, you will be stuck again and must awaken your character to SR+. To do this, you need two SR characters but not necessarily the exact copy of the character you are trying to awaken.

SR+

This scenario is where your R characters can be helpful. From R to SR+, you need 8 R Soul characters as fodder. Fodder meant lower rarity characters you use to awaken your SRs without using other SR characters.

Level Copies Total Copies
R to R+ 2 R Copy (Same character) 2 R Characters
R+ to SR 2 R+ Characters (Same Soul) 4 R Characters
SR to SR+ 2 SR Characters (Same Character) 8 R Characters

Once you get your character to SR+, you can continue leveling your characters towards level 140.

SR+ to SSR (Level 121 - 140)

SSR

Awakening your SR+ to SSR will need 2 SR+ of the same soul. You may use your fodders for this. Continue doing your dailies to get more Witch's Shards or buy more Character shards from the Character Shop or Cave of Space-Time shop. You might hit the Kindling Orbs wall by this time, so just be patient when farming them.

Remember to progress from the Main Quest. If you can clear Main Quest 11-28, you have more chances of getting Witch's Letters, which can help you get more copies for your characters and pick the characters you want to pull from the Invocation of Chance banner.

UR

At this time, your SSR needs to become an SSR+ to reach level cap 160. You can capitalize on game modes that can give you Witch Shards and Witch Letters. You can purchase Witch Shards from the Character shop or Login and Weekly rewards. You can also buy a Witch's Shards (SR) Pack from the Premium Gift icon if you don't want to wait. Another option is to use your Diamonds and pull from the Invocation of Chance.

Once you have enough to give you 1 SSR+ of the same soul, you can awaken your SSR+ character into UR, giving her a level cap of 160. Since you have previously opened the Invocation of Chance banner, you will have a sufficient number of Kindling and EXP Orbs as you get them for every pull from the Chest of Chance as a bonus reward.

SSR+ to UR (Level 161 - 180)

SSR+ to UR Level Link

Witch Rarity Awakening Requirements Resulting Rarity
SSR+ 1 SSR+ (Same Soul) UR

At level 161, you will need another SSR+ of the same soul to awaken your character to UR and increase to level 180. At this time, you can now use your main carry's Unique Weapon. Unique Weapons amplify damage or affect your active and passive skills. Use your Unique Weapon to increase damage while progressing through the Main Quest and Tower of Infinity to get more Witch's Shards and Diamonds so that you can get more copies for your main team.

You might get stuck saving for Diamonds or Witch's Shards/Letters, but do your dailies and weeklies and increase your Battle League rank to have better Diamond income.

UR to UR+ (Level 181 - 200)

Amleth UR+

Witch Rarity Awakening Requirements Resulting Rarity
UR 1 SSR+ (Same Witch) UR+

At Level 181 you will pretty much do the same thing you did for UR. You will need 1 SSR+ of the same soul to awaken your UR character to UR+. Please refrain from using SR characters to awaken your UR characters. Use your R characters and awaken them to SSR+ so that you won't be using high-rarity characters as fodders.

UR+ to LR onwards (Level 201 - 240)

party level linking notice

From here on, you can level up your LR characters until level 240. Level 240 is the maximum level cap for all characters. However, you can exceed this level cap if all five characters in your team are at level 240. Once you level up all five characters to 240, the Level Link's interface will change and turn into the interface for Party Level Link. The Party Level Link keeps all linked characters level up simultaneously.

This means none of your characters will be stuck at level 240 anymore. As long as you have the EXP Orbs, Kindling Orbs, and Gold available, you will be able to raise your witches' levels as high as you can, provided that you have enough characters at LR rarity to raise the new level cap.
