Meria is a Radiance defensive buffer that does two things in a team: Gives her teammates sizeable SPD boosts and gives the main attacker of her team more time to survive until turn 2 (with the multi-barrier she grants them). Her attack power isn't too much to worry about in PvP as it takes too long to stack Growth Factor and players will probably use more powerful witches anyway while relegating her as a support or, possibly, a secondary attacker.

To beat her, you will need to take advantage of how she doesn't have any built-in debuff cleanse skills and, potentially, use a Meria of your own to try outspeeding her team. Just like with other same-character matchups, the Meria with the better gear, runes, rarity, and level should win.

Strengths Weaknesses
• 10% SPD buff for all allies that share the same soul type as long as she has her unique weapon and it's awakened to UR.
• She can give the main attacker of her team a multi-barrier that can protect them during the first turn of a battle, ensuring they'll survive any first-turn nukes.
• Her SPD buff for allies is non-dispellable so it cannot be removed by enemy buff dispellers. 		• Requires too much time to ramp up her damage via stacking [Growth Factor]
• Relies on allies having [Increased Chance to Hit] to deal optimal damage
• Her SPD boost for herself is dispellable, so it can be dispelled/stolen
• Her ACC self-buff activates only from the 5th turn onwards. The battle could already be over by then.

Deals 3 physical attacks equal to 100% of her ATK to enemies at random. Afterwards, this skill grants 1 stack of ［Growth Factor］ to Meria (10 stacks max) (cannot be dispelled). The physical attacks’ damage is increased by 50% of Meria’s ATK for each stack of ［Growth Factor］ she is enhanced with before dealing the physical attacks (600% of her ATK max).
Level 2 (Unlocks by level 81)
The increase in damage for each stack of ［Growth Factor］ that Meria is enhanced with becomes equal to 100% of her ATK (1100% of her ATK max).
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 161)
The number of stacks of ［Growth Factor］ granted by this skill becomes 2.

Additionally, the physical attacks’ damage is increased by 40% of Meria’s ATK for each stack of ［Growth Factor］ she is enhanced with before dealing the physical attacks (620% of her ATK max).
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 101)
Additionally, after dealing the final physical attack, if an ally is enhanced with ［Increased Chance to Hit］, grants 3 stacks of ［Growth Factor］ to Meria (10 stacks max) (cannot be dispelled).
Level 4 (Unlocks by level 181)
The number of physical attacks becomes 5.

Vine Burst and Botanical Eruption are Meria's offensive skills. Vine Burst could be a potentially heavy-hitting attack if Meria manages to stack [Growth Factor], but there's a good chance she's taken out before she gets the chance.

Botanical Eruption, on the other hand, is a skill that gives multiple attacks with high base damage. It also increases with [Growth Factor] stacks. Its downside is that it relies on allies to have [Increased Chance to Hit] for optimal damage, which means giving up another slot in your party for a witch that raises this stat.

At the start of the battle, this skill increases her SPD by 10% for 1 turn. At the start of the 5th turn, this skill also increases her chance to hit by 30% (cannot be dispelled).
Level 2 (Unlocks by level 141)
The increase in her chance to hit becomes 50%.
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 221)
The amount her SPD increases by becomes 20%.

If Meria attacks, and her target is not defeated, this skill grants 1 layer of ［Multi-Barrier］ to Meria (3 layers max) (cannot be dispelled). If she takes damage equal to 10% or higher of her max HP, 1 barrier layer is depleted to nullify the damage.
Level 2 (Unlocks by level 121)
The max number of layers of ［Multi-Barrier］ becomes 4.
Level 3 (Unlocks by level 201)
Additionally, if Meria is already enhanced with 4 layers of the ［Multi-Barrier］ granted by this skill, and it grants a new layer to her, the target who is granted the layer of ［Multi-Barrier］ becomes the ally with the highest ATK other than Meria.

Auxin X and Seed of Ancient Ruin are the main reasons why people field Meria. Auxin X makes her act like Primavera but with a bigger SPD buff. The 10% SPD buff she gives to allies and herself cannot be dispelled, so you can't use Nina or any other buff stealers/dispellers to counter that. However, her own SPD buff (that goes up to 20%) is dispellable, so you can target that if you need to.

Meanwhile, Seed of Ancient Ruin gives multi-barriers to her and the ally with the largest ATK on her team, which means you might not be able to take out the enemy's main attacker in turn 1. You can either use witches that have ramping damage like Fia (if you can't take them out on turn 1, take them out on turn 5 or 6), or use attackers with high hit counts that can deal enough damage and trigger the multi-barriers.

Rusalka can beat Meria by outspeeding her in PvP but it depends on whether your Rusalka has a higher rarity, better gear, and better runes than the enemy Meria. If yes, Rusalka will be able to take her or the main attacker of her team out. If not, then Rusalka's team will probably get decimated.

If you need more ways to outspeed an opponent that has Meria in their team, you can field your own Meria and add a Primavera to your team (preferably positioned in front of the enemy Meria to inflict Faint on her). Your team should get a 12% SPD buff, and Meria herself will get up to a 32% SPD buff.

If you can't outspeed Meria, you can try to endure her and her allies' attacks and give back the damage they've dealt. Fia is good at paying back damage with interest, while Sivi has ramping damage that's good to go after a few turns. However, you'll need your own witches to protect these two and make sure they survive until their attacks pop off, as well as give them additional defensive buffs like multi-barriers, shields, damage cuts, etc.

A Rusalka with her Unique Weapon at LR buffed by both Meria and Primavera should be enough to outspeed many teams on the first turn, including Meria teams (unless the enemy has a better Meria than you do in terms of rarity and level).

Meanwhile, Apostle Rosalie is here to provide protection with her Force Fields, and Tama is there to increase your main attacker's ACC (though she can be swapped out for any other witch you see fit to replace her with).

Though normally useful in PvP, Nina's low hit count means she'll have a tough time breaking through Meria's multi-barriers. She can also be beaten by Meria and whichever witch is teamed up with her when it comes to SPD and who gets to fire first.

Tips for Beating 【The Witch of Budding Doom】Meria

Use Debuffers

Since Meria's [Multi-Barrier] can be bypassed by debuffs, make sure to have a debuffer in your team to hinder Meria's movements and overall effectiveness.

Use High-Damage/Burst-Damage/High Hit Count Attackers

Meria's [Growth Factor] needs time to be set, so get attackers who can do that at turns 1-2 to eliminate Meria and her support for her team. Also, get attackers with high hit counts to break through her multi-barrier.
