How to Find Criptograma Chests and Charts

Listen to Wind Chimes to Find Chests

Far Cry 6 - Criptograma Chest 1

Criptograma Chests can only be found by exploring specific areas in Yara. Unlike other obtainable items in the game, their locations cannot be revealed by obtaining item maps.

To find the chests, you must listen to the sound of wind chimes. These sounds can be heard from a distance, and will only get louder once you get closer.

Follow the Blue Arrows and Markers

Far Cry 6 Criptograma Chart 2 Location

After finding the chests, you need to follow the blue arrows and markers near the chest to find the two Criptograma Charts. Each marker points to the next location that you need to travel until you reach one of the Charts.

It is also important to note that all Criptograma Chests can be unlocked after finding two Criptograma Charts.

These are quite possibly the worst instructions I’ve ever read. Some of these don’t even make sense. Like the Madruga coast case. It says to “go forward to the other shore and use the grapple hook”. Which coast? The original one? There’s not a grappling hook area for probably 500 meters on either side of it, not to mention the ambiguity about the coasts.
