What are Treasure Hunts?

Side Missions with Rare Rewards

Treasure Hunts are optional side missions that reward you with a lot of high ranking weapons and gear. While these aren't exactly vital to the story's progression, completing these Hunts will award you with gear you wouldn't find anywhere else in Yara.

How to Unlock Treasure Hunts

Go to the Starting Area

Treasure Hunts automatically activate when you enter an area in close proximity to the Starting Location of that specific Hunt.

Interact with Exclamation Points

Talking to NPCs and reading notes, maps, etc. found across the game world which are labeled with exclamation points will unlock new points of interest on your map, including Treasure Hunts.

Note that this will add the location to your map, but this is not required to start the Treasure Hunt, as simply going to the Treasure Hunt starting location will work as well. Still, this is an easy way to flesh out your map so be sure to interact with exclamation points whenever they appear onscreen.
