Can You Change Time of Day?

Can You Change Time of Day

Time skip is a handy feature for any game especially for missions that are playable at only certain times. Find out if you can change the time of day in Far Cry 6!

Can You Change Time of Day?

Unable to Change Time Manually

Time of day usually doesn't come into play for aspects like stealth, but it is important for a few in-game events like getting Oku's Triada Relic, and for the effects of certain Gear like Ida's Sigil. It's not uncommon for modern games to have a feature allowing the player to skip time, but Far Cry 6 unfortunately does not have a built-in time skip feature available.

Wait About 30 Minutes to Change

In Far Cry 6, the day passes by naturally from morning to evening. Though a bit of a bore, it's possible to simply wait for time to pass.

It will take about 30 minutes of real time for day to change into night, and vice versa. Even if it doesn't seem like the time of day is changing at all, don't worry. The day to night cycle is not a steady progression – after waiting about 30 minutes, it will suddenly change from day to night or night to day in the span of only 2-3 minutes.

No Methods to Pass Time Faster

There are no currently known hacks which can be used to pass time faster. The following activities have been confirmed and cannot be used to change in-game time.

  • Fast-traveling
  • Closing and restarting the game
  • Changing the in-game clock on the console

Best Way to Pass Time

Pass Time in the Game Naturally

Far Cry 6 will demand you to be fully immersed in its day/night cycle. You can try other missions, go fishing, or play co-op with a friend to pass time.

If you're not in a rush, it's also possible to go idle and set a timer on your phone for 30 minutes, letting you know that it's time to get back in the game.
