The El Capirote may not seem like a strong bow at first, but it is easily something that can be used over great distances comparable to that of a mid-range single shot rifle like the MS16. The only downside to this bow is that it is a unique bow, and thus can't be modified to produce even more effects and damage against enemies.

The best bow there is in-game, the Compound Bow is an easily modifiable bow that increases its uses far past what it's base stats present. It is a faster firing bow compared to others, allowing you to more easily assault enemies with it without compromising your speed.

Bows are generally powerful weapons whose only shortcoming is their inability to shoot multiple arrows at once. It does, however, give other benefits such as being a silent and stealthy weapon as well as being a viable weapon with a means to hunt animals without ruining their meat by using guns.
