Sadly, it is not possible to save your game progress manually in Far Cry 6. Hopefully, Ubisoft implements a manual save for their next entry in the franchise.

Autosaves When You Fast Travel To A Safe Area

The game autosaves whenever you fast travel to a safe area. You'll notice an icon on the upper right corner of your screen every time the game saves your progress. This icon is an indicator that your game is being saved.

We recommend keeping an eye on the save icon whenever you plan to close the game so you won't lose your progress.

Autosaves Before and After Important Events

The game also autosaves before and after important events happen. We have seen this happen before entering an enemy battle camp and after clearing a mission. This gives player a nearby respawn point just in case they die doing a mission.

Autosaves A Lot

It is important to note that the game autosaves quite a lot. You can just be picking up an item or just finshed using the workbench and the game will autosave.

As a rule of thumb, always keep an eye on the autosave icon on the upper right corner of your screen to make sure that your progress has been saved.
