Fishing is a minigame available in Far Cry 6. Read on to learn how to fish, what to look out for in seawater, and how to upgrade your lures and lines.

Look for Ripples in the Water |

Fight the Fish's Movement |
Check for ripples in the water to figure out where the fish are. If the water is clear enough, you'll be able to spot the fish easily.
One tip we have for casting line is to cast near where the ripple is and wait for the fish to take the bait. Fishing is indeed all about patience.
Once you've lured and hooked in the fish, watch out for the movement prompts that will tell you which direction to pull to reel the fish in.
The colour of your line will indicate how successfully you'll be able to reel in fish.
| Line Color | Indication |
|---|---|
| Green | Good! Keep on pulling. |
| Yellow | Pull less harder, let the fish wiggle for some room. |
| Orange | Danger! The fish is getting away. |
You must maintain a green line at best to successfully reel in the fish. Keep a close eye on your line's color and adjust how hard you're pulling on it accordingly.
