The developers of Far Cry 6 have confirmed that an online multiplayer mode will be available for Far Cry 6. The multiplayer mode will be similar to the co-op mode in Far Cry 5, which allows you to invite one other player into your campaign.

Though Ubisoft will not require you to pay any fees to access online features, console users will need certain online subscriptions for the game to connect to the internet.
Xbox users need to have Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, while Playstation users need to have a subscription for Playstation Plus. Accessing online features on the PC does not require a subscription.
Ubisoft Plus is an online subscription run by Ubisoft, which allows you to gain instant access to more than 100 games in the Ubisoft library, including the Ultimate Edition of Far Cry 6. However, the subscription is only available on PC and Google Stadia.
