Far Cry 6 is a stand-alone title and is neither a sequel nor prequel of any of the previous Far Cry games. The game will follow its own independent storyline, and you do not need to play any of the previous games to understand the plot of Far Cry 6. Every Far Cry game has its own unique story and cast of characters, and Far Cry 6 is no different. In this new adventure, you will be fighting against an oppressive government headed by a corrupt dictator to liberate your home and end the regime.
Far Cry 6 will have a new set of charming characters for you to meet, including a menacing new villain and a small group of allies. Throughout your journey, you will be walking in the shoes of Dani Rojas, the protagonist of the new game.
Each Far Cry game takes you to a new and interesting area around the globe. In Far Cry 6, you are taken to Yara, a fictional island nation in the Caribbean with sprawling cities and lush jungles. It takes inspiration from Latin American countries, such as Cuba.
