Obtained from Abyss Treasure ChestsEasily Obtained from Abyss Treasure Chests
An abundance of Faded Abyss Artifacts and Abyss Gear can be obtained from treasure chests found in the Abyss. Seek out these chests if you want to farm Faded Abyss Artifacts for your skill respecs.
To access the Abyss for exploration, you'll first need to progress until you reach the Forbidden Knowledge main quest of Chapter 4. During and after the Spire of the Stars segment, you should be free to start island hopping to look for chests across the Abyss.
Obtained from Exploration and Quests
Faded Abyss Artifacts can be obtained by just exploring the world and doing quests. You may be able to find them from treasure chests you find along the way or as rewards from some quests. Check your journal to see which quests reward these artifacts.

Bought from Witch Vendors
You can also buy Faded Abyss Artifacts from vendors affiliated with the Witches They will cost you some silver each and may be limited in stock for each vendor.
Crafted Using Witch Cauldrons
The blueprint for Faded Abyss Artifacts can be unlocked through research requests at the Scholarstone Research Institute, specifically the one called Research on the Abyss Energy Restoration Phenomenon.
After you unlock the blueprint, you can craft Faded Abyss Artifacts using Witch cauldrons and with the following materials:
- 1x Abyss Cell
- 2x Mercury
You'll be able to reach Scholarstone around Chapter 4 of the main story.
From Sealed Abyss Artifacts
Completing the challenges tied to a Sealed Abyss Artifact may also reward you with a Faded Abyss Artifact. These also give you Abyss Artifacts for skill points and Abyss Gear.

Faded Abyss Artifact Uses
Used to Respec Character Skill Tree
Faded Abyss Artifacts can be used to reset all your allocated skill points from Abyss Artifacts. This lets you redo your entire skill tree giving you the chance to try another build. To do this, press the "Reset All" button on the Skills menu.
You will need one Faded Abyss Artifact each time you respec so be sure to save before allocating your skill points in case you change your mind.
