One of the first things you can do once you reach Hernand is to rob the bank west of the inn. This requires a mask and a key and nets you 40+ silver for every item you steal from the treasure chests.
You can purchase the mask and the key from the Back Alley Merchant for 10 Copper and 30 Copper respectively. You can find Grimrak, the Back Alley Merchant, behind the farmhouse east of Muckroot Ranch.

Note that stealing objects reduces the Hernandian Contribution Level. Each time you steal something, 5 EXP will be reduced from the Contribution Level.
How to Farm Contribution Points

Progressing through the main story and completing objectives can reward you with additional silver depending on the quest. Not every quest gives money, but most of them include them as an extra reward!

The best way to farm money is by completing bounties from the bounty board found inside cities. These bounties offer plenty of money along with additional loot you can collect along the way.

Another quick way to earn money is by selling random loot dropped by enemies to NPCs. Since there are countless enemies to defeat throughout the world of Pywel, collecting and selling their loot can be one of the fastest ways to earn some quick silver.

You can also get a gold ingot really early by heading northwest, close to the first starting town, at Lioncrest Manor. If you enter from the side and go down to the bottom, you’ll see a fireplace. Extinguish it, use the lamp to focus, and loot the ingot. Then head to the bank and sell it for 500 coins. Don’t sell this ingot to a regular merchant, as it will only be worth 190! Enjoy!
