Ride Your Horse Around When Exploring

Ride Your Horse Around When Exploring

A passive way to level up your horse is to ride it around when exploring. This may take a longer time but it is a guarantee that you will level up your horse just by using it to roam around the world.

Feed Your Horse

If you have food items such as Oats, Apples, Hay, Sugarbeet, you can use them to feed your horse to level it up.

To feed your horse, mount it and open your Inventory. Select the horse feed item and hold down X/A button to bring up another menu. Choose Feed Horse to give the food item to your horse.

If the Feed Horse option is grayed out, make sure to mount your horse first before going to the Inventory menu.

Pet horse

Petting your horse is one way to level it up. To pet your horse, hold L1/LT Button while looking at the horse and press the A/X Button.

Benefits of Leveling Up Your Horse

Unlock New Skills

Leveling up your horse allows you to unlock new skills and passive abilities. These include the ability to back kick, double jump, and move faster in water.

Horse Trust Level

You can check your horse's current level from the Inventory menu. Press R1/RT to change to the horse's inventory and look for the Trust stat. The maximum trust level for a horse is Level 5.
