Find Bari the Witch of Kindness
If you have not done so already, you need to start the Witch of Kindness quest to cleanse the Sanctum of Solace.
Meet Bari the Witch first on Crimson Lake in Pailune to initiate the quest. Otherwise, you will be informed by Bari at the Sanctum of Solace that you cannot cleanse it yet.

Restore the Missing Generator Parts
| Step | Directions |
|---|---|
| 1 |  Liberate the Sanctum of Solace from the Antumbra Order. Note that tracking the sanctum's location leads you to the Antumbra's Staff boss fight. |
| 2 |  At the heart of the sanctum, defeat the boss Antumbra's Staff. Defeating it (and the enemies in the area) clears the Antumbra's Staff quest in the Cloister of Ruination questline, which is an Antumbra Order Faction Quest. This rewards you the Guidance of Dark Pursuit, a unique two-handed weapon. ▶︎ List of Antumbra Order Quests |
| 3 | Go right of the boss arena, past a bridge, to the sanctum's generator. Drop down the generator's platform to the frozen pool below. The two generator parts are just nearby. |
| 4 |  A generator part is floating in the dark alcove. Grab it with Axiom Force and seal it in your Kuku Pot. To the right is a hole in the wall with the second part, caged behind spears. Simply grab it with Axiom Force and seal it. |
| 5 | Restore the sanctum generator by attaching the parts: the cube goes to the side while the other goes on top of the pillar. Use Force Palm to push them into their respective places. |
Restore the Sanctum of Solace by liberating the area of enemies, including the boss Antumbra's Staff. Afterwards, locate the generator's two missing parts to restore the sanctum.
Find the Treasure Chest in the Secret Room
| Step | Directions |
|---|---|
| 1 |  There is a secret chest hidden in the Antumbra Staff's boss area. Go to where there is a big withered tree. Right of the tree is a thick wall among the arches. |
| 2 | Climb the wall and stop where there is a visible outline of a passage at the top. Press the button to resist (shown on the bottom right of your screen) and then perform Force Palm to reveal an entrance, swinging you inside a secret chamber. |
| 3 |  Open the chest to get the Icewing Plate Boots and a Palmar Pill. Leave the same way you came in. |
Solve the Optional Light Puzzle with Blinding Flash
| Step | Directions |
|---|---|
| 1 | To solve the light puzzle, time your Blinding Flash: Concentrate Light on the center of the rotating dial when the vertical mark aligns with the crystal-like stones. Missing them or incorrectly flashing light on the gaps will reset the dial. |
| 2 | After a successful full rotation, the mechanism will release the Core of Deliverance for your Kuku Pot. Use Axiom Force and Seal to store it in your inventory. |
※ The footage above is taken from the Sanctum of Absolution, but the method for completing this Sanctum's Light puzzle follows the same mechanics.
Cleansing sanctums provides an optional Light Puzzle. The puzzle mechanics are the same, but the dial pattern varies per sanctum. Obtaining the cores from these puzzles is used to upgrade your Kuku Pot.

Each Sanctum rewards you with a Core for completing the optional dial puzzle. Cores are used for upgrading your Kuku Pot, which you obtain in the Mysterious Pot quest in Chapter 4.
Once you have obtained a Core, visit Grimnir at the Kilnden Workshop to start upgrading your Kuku Pot.
