※ The folowing weapon types were confirmed based on the trailers and previews shown for Crimson Desert.
| Weapon Type | Info and Description |
|---|---|
| Swords |
One-handed weapon often paired with a shield or even dual wielded. Kliff is seen to use both fighting styles during the preview trailers. |
| Spears |
Two-handed weapon with a long reach in melee. |
| Axes |
Two-handed weapon shown to be wielded by Oongka. Its combos are largely comprised of devastating grounded and jumping AoE attacks. |
| Greatswords |
Two-handed weapon often showcased by Damiane. Combos can range from guard counters that deal massive amounts of damage or wide, sweeping swings that hit enemies in an AoE. |
| Daggers | One-handed weapon that can do fast attacks in melee range. |
| Unarmed |
Weapon-less playstyle that can be used even when using regular weapons. Punches and kicks can be incorporated straight into your equipped weapon's playstyle due to the game's combo system. |
| Bows |
Ranged weapon used to shoot arrows. Showcased to be useable midway through some melee combos to create distance while also dealing damage. |
| Shields |
One-handed weapon often paired with a sword. Can be used to block or parry attacks, allowing you to chain into melee combos. |
| Pistols |
One-handed ranged weapon used to quickly fire while still keeping nimble. It allows you to dodge between reloads as opposed to that stationary charged shots of the rifle. |
| Rifles |
Two-handed ranged weapon that can quickly deal with enemies with regular and charged shots. |
| Hand Cannon |
Ranged weapon showcased to be used by Oongka. Unlike the rifle or pistol, the Hand Cannon fires an explosive shot that deals damage in an AoE. |

Most weapons in Crimson Desert can be found by either purchasing them from Equipment Shops or looted as drops from enemies or chests as you explore.

Aside from the regular weapons, you'll also gain access to unique weapons with powerful modifiers and abilities. However, these need to be earned, whether by completing quests or solving puzzles scattered around the open world.

Weapons can be made stronger via a process called Refining. Visit an NPC that can refine weapons and speak to them in order to raise the stats of your weapon using materials you've gathered around the world.

On top of increasing weapon stats, you can also slot in Abyss Gear - special items that grant powerful modifiers to your weapon. Similar to refining, you'll have to visit a special NPC in order to slot in or change your weapon's current Abyss Gear loadout.
