How to Beat Reed Devil

Add to Watchlist

How to Beat Reed Devil
You can defeat Reed Devil by destroying all 5 totems with Focused Shot and Charged Shot in Crimson Desert. Check out Reed Devil’s weaknesses and resistances, location, tips on how to beat the boss, and the drops and achievements after defeating Reed Devil here!

How to Beat Reed Devil

Destroy All 5 Totems During 2nd Phase

The best way to defeat Reed Devil is by destroying all 5 of his totems once he reaches his 2nd phase. During this phase, he will summon multiple copies of himself that performs different moves and create 5 totems throughout the field. Make sure to focus on destroying all 5 totems first, as the Reed Devil is completely immune for the entire duration until you destroy them.

We recommend using the Focused Shot or Charged Shot skills since these are effective at destroying the totems from a far and keep you away from his copies.

Take note that all Reed Devil clones will attack you simultaneously in the 2nd phase so try to dodge and parry whenever you can to avoid taking damage.

Focus on Parrying His Swift Attacks

Initially, you can defeat Reed Devil during his 1st phase by parrying his melee attacks to stagger him and provide you with openings to deal damage. Since most of his melee attacks hit multiple times, Reed Devil can be easy to parry as you only need to parry at least one melee attack to cancel his combo.

Additionally, you can also use the Block button to lock on to his location whenever he teleports. This should allow you to automatically adjust your camera and focus on your parry timings during the boss fight.

Dodge the Sword Waves at Range

Aside from his melee attacks, Reed Devil is also capable of throwing out multiple projectiles and sword waves at ranged that can easily whittle down your health if you are not careful. We highly recommend dodging side to side whenever he sends out his sword waves to make use of your invulnerability windows and avoid the projectiles.

Make sure to avoid dodging forward since Reed Devil can send out consecutive sword waves that can still hit you when you dodge towards him.
